In the Provincial District of Auckland; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 13900, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven.

Land taken near Teremakau River for a Further Portion of Greymouth—Hokitika Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a further portion of the Greymouth—Hokitika Railway:

And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land in the manner hereby provided have been observed and performed:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by section one hundred and thirty of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the further portion of the said line of railway hereinbefore specified.

SCHEDULE.
THE several parcels of land mentioned in list hereunder:—

All in the Provincial District of Westland; as the said parcels of land are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 14773, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured red and purple.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of June, 1887.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work authorized to be constructed by the Government, to wit, the Opaki Section of the Wellington—Napier Railway: And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and the amendments thereof, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the Government work known as the Opaki Section of the Wellington—Napier Railway shall and may be constructed on or through the parcel of land more particularly mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and the amendments thereof, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the Government work known as the Foxton—New Plymouth Railway shall and may be constructed on or through the parcels of land more particularly mentioned in the Schedule hereto.
