NOTE.—Showery early part, then fine weather until the 21st, except heavy showers in night of 12th, when rain commenced, and continued almost to end of month; the maximum rainfall recorded on 30th, ·53in. Prevailing N.W. wind, and strong on eight days from that quarter. Maximum temperature in shade, 71; minimum, 41. Mean temperature of dewpoint, 51·2. Mean humidity, 81. Earthquake on 12th, at 4 a.m., slight, from East.

Native Land Court Notices.

Application for Rehearing of Claim dismissed.

NATIVE LAND COURT, NEW ZEALAND:
DISTRICT OF WHANGANUI.

IN the matter of a judgment of the Court given during a session advertised to be held at Whanganui, in the said district, on the 22nd day of April, 1884, and adjourned from time to time, upon the hearing of a claim to succeed to the interest of Nehanera te Kahu in a block of land situate in the said district, and known as Omurihore; and in the matter of the application of Miriama Heirangi te Kahu and another for a rehearing upon such claim:
I, John Edwin Macdonald, Chief Judge of the said Court, and in exercise of the authority in that behalf vested in me, do hereby dismiss such application.

  • License to contain special condition reserving a right-of-way to the public through the run.

Term, ten years; upset annual rent, 1d. an acre. Two months’ rent and a license-fee of £1 1s. must be paid on the fall of the hammer.

LEASE UNDER SECTION 23 OF “THE PUBLIC RESERVES ACT, 1881.”

Term, five years from the 4th July, 1887; upset annual rent, £5 10s. The lease will contain the same conditions as the lease now current. Six months’ rent and £3 for the lease must be paid on the fall of the hammer.
