Revoking the Setting-apart of Land for Leasing, as Small Grazing Runs.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the sixth section of “The Land Act, 1885,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the Proclamation of the fourth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, by His Excellency the Governor, setting apart the section of land enumerated in the Schedule hereto for leasing as a small grazing run shall be and the same is hereby revoked.

WAIMATE DISTRICT.

RUN 757, Class III., containing 4,520 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this thirtieth day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the one hundred and thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1885,” and of every other power and authority enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the sections of land enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be set apart for lease, with right of renewal, under the provisions of Part IV. of “The Land Act, 1885.”

Police Gaol opened at Wairoa, Hawke’s Bay.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled “The Prisons Act, 1882,” it is enacted that the Governor may, by Proclamation published in the Gazette, declare that such police stations as he shall name therein shall be police gaols:

And whereas it is desirable to proclaim the police station at Wairoa, in the Provincial District of Hawke’s Bay, to be a police gaol:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the above-recited power and authority, do hereby declare that the said building shall be a police gaol from and after the appearing of this Proclamation in the Gazette.

Declaring a Portion of the Woodville to Palmerston Road to be a Government Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirtieth day of May, 1887.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the portion of the Woodville to Palmerston Road described in the Schedule below shall, on and after the sixth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, become a Government road.

SCHEDULE.

  1. ALL that portion of the Woodville to Palmerston Road, from the Manawatu Gorge Bridge to the Lower Ferry (hereinafter called “the said road”), which lies within, passes through, or abuts upon the County of Waipawa.

  2. All that portion of the said road which lies within, passes through, or abuts upon the County of Wairarapa North.

  3. All that portion of the said road which lies within, passes through, or abuts upon the Manawatu Road District.
