NOTICE is hereby given that EDWARD WATERS, Patent Agent, of Melbourne, in the Colony of Victoria, has applied, on behalf of RICHARD HARRIS PUGH, trading as ALEXANDER RIDDLE & CO., of 38, Commercial Street, London, England, Manufacturers of Stower's Limejuice Cordial and the like, to register, under "The Trade Marks Act, 1866," the trade mark of which the following is a description, viz. :—
Description of Trade Mark.
A label having, inside a border-line, the letter S partly covered by the representation of a tower bearing the word "tower;" this device being surmounted by the word "Stower's Lime Juice," and having below it the words "Cordial prepared from their original Lime Juice Syrup recipe," and the following words: "This Cordial, being manufactured exclusively from the pure Juice of the Fruit, possesses all the Anti-Scorbutic and other well-known valuable properties of the Lemon Juice, which, according to Medical testimony, tend so much to keep the body in a healthy state. It is entirely free from Alcohol, and will keep in any temperature. It is quite free from the musty taste and smell which predominate in most, if not all, other Cordials. For hot weather it will be found an exceedingly delicious and cooling drink, using about one wine-glassful to a tumbler of water. A fine Claret Cup can be produced by mixing one part with four parts of Claret and five parts of water. For cold weather, using hot or cold water, makes a splendid Lemonade. For Port or Sherry Negus it will be found exceedingly delicious, and supplies the place of Lemon slices. For Whisky, Rum Punch, (x Rum Shrub use one wine-glassful to the same quantity each of water and spirit, adding powdered sugar!—this will be found an exquisite drink. For spirits of any kind, using hot or cold water. See book of 500 Doctors' testimonials;" with a divisional line below the same, between which and the lower border-line is a copy of the written signature of the firm, "Alexr. Riddle & Co.," and the words "Sole proprietors, 38, Commercial Street, London, E."
Nature of the Article to which it is intended such Trade Mark shall apply.
Limejuice cordial.
