NOTICE is hereby given that WILLIAM DAWSON, GEORGE IRONS, and JOHN DAWSON, of the City of Wellington, Iron Merchants, creditors of the above-named company, intend to present a petition for the winding-up of the said company, and that the petition will be heard at the Supreme Court Buildings, in the City of Wellington, on Friday, the 10th day of June, 1887, at the hour of 10.30 o’clock in the forenoon, or so soon thereafter as counsel can be heard.

In the matter of the Picton Coal Company (Limited), in liquidation.

NOTICE is hereby given that a first and final dividend of threepence halfpenny per share will be payable to all Shareholders entitled to receive the same, at my office, at Woodville, in the Provincial District of Hawke Bay, on and after the 23rd day of May instant.

All moneys unclaimed and remaining in my hands on the 23rd day of July next will, immediately after that date, be paid into the Supreme Court of New Zealand, at Blenheim, in pursuance of an order of the said Court, dated the 2nd day of May instant.

I, COLIN MCKENZIE GORDON, Registrar of the Supreme Court for the District of Otago, do hereby notify that an affidavit, a copy of which is hereunder given, by JAMES MILLS and ANGUS CAMERON, two Directors of the Otago Towing Company (Limited), has been lodged in the Resident Magistrate’s Court, at Dunedin, and forwarded to me; and that, unless notice of objection be lodged with me within sixty days of this date, I shall proceed to declare the said company to be dissolved, in manner provided by “The Companies Act, 1882.”

We, James Mills and Angus Cameron, two of the Directors of the Otago Towing Company (Limited), incorporated under “The Joint-stock Companies Act, 1860,” do hereby make oath and say—

  1. That the nominal capital of the said company is fifteen thousand pounds, divided into three thousand shares of five pounds each, of which one thousand nine hundred and twenty shares only have been issued.

  2. That the shares so issued have been fully paid up.

  3. That the company has no assets, and has ceased to carry on its operations.

And we, James Mills and Angus Cameron, hereby apply for declaration of dissolution of the company.

NOTICE UNDER “PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1882.”

NOTICE is hereby given, in terms of Part II., “Public Works Act, 1882,” section 10 and its various subsections, that the Kirikiri roa Road Board propose to take land for the purpose of making a road through Sections 466, 70, 174, and other portion of the property of the Waikato Land Association, in the Parish of Taupiri. The area of land to be taken is 14 acres 3 roods 21 perches, more or less.

Any persons affected are called on to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, and to send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Chairman of the Kirikiri roa Road Board.

Plans of land proposed to be taken may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the Taupiri Hotel, Taupiri.
