Land temporarily reserved in the Land Districts of Auckland, Taranaki, Wellington, Marlborough, and Otago.

WHEREAS by the two hundred and twenty-seventh section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Land Districts of Auckland, Taranaki, Wellington, Marlborough, and Otago, described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND.
All those parcels of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 5 acres and 10 perches, and 2 acres 2 roods respectively, more or less, and being Section No. 28 of Block IX., Omapere Survey District:—
Portion containing 5 acres and 10 perches, more or less: Bounded towards the North by Section No. 3, 671 links; towards the North-east by the crossing of a road 100 links wide, and by Section No. 60 of the Parish of Okaihau, 593 links; towards the South, East, and again towards the South by the Utakura River; again towards the North by a road, 100 links wide, 660 links; towards the South-west by the crossing of a road, 105 links; and towards the West by Section No. 3 aforesaid, 822 links, to the commencing-point: excepting therefrom two roads, each 100 links wide, which intersect the area herein described.
Portion containing 2 acres 2 roods, more or less: Bounded towards the North by a road, 100 links wide, 543, 865, 907, and 160 links; towards the South-east, South, and again towards the South-east by the Utakura River; and towards the West by Section No. 7, 52 links, to the commencing-point.
Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a quarry reserve.
All that parcel of land being called or known as Allotments Nos. 54, 55, and 56 of Section No. 3, Township of Panmure, Otahuhu Survey District, Provincial District of Auckland, and containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 26 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the North-east by Allotment No. 57 of Section No. 3 aforesaid, 259 links; towards the South-east by a public road-line, 460 links; towards the South-west by a public road-line, 474 links; and towards the North-west by Allotment No. 53 of Section No. 3 aforesaid, 269 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a recreation-ground.
All that area in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 17,865 acres, more or less, known as Tokoroa No. 2 Block, in the Survey Districts of Ngautuku and Patetere South. Bounded towards the North by the Patetere Land Company’s land; towards the South-east by the Tikorangi Block; towards the South by the Whakamaru Maungaiti Block and the Patetere Land Company’s land; and towards the South-west and North-west by the said company’s land: as the same is delineated on the plan in the Survey Office, Auckland. For primary education.
All that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 6 acres and 26 perches, more or less, being Lot No. 25, Suburbs of Mercer, situate in Block II., Maramarua Survey District, Provincial District of Auckland. Bounded on the North-east by Lot No. 26, 705 links; on the South-east generally by a public road, 100 links wide, 500 and 157 links; on the South-west generally by Lot No. 24 250 links, Lots Nos. 34, 35, and 36 728 links; and on the North-west by a line, 1050 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a school site.
TARANAKI.
All that area situate in Block XVI., Ngaire Survey District, Provincial District of Taranaki, being the lake named Rotokare, together with a belt of land, 3 chains in width, around its shores, and estimated to contain together 80 acres. For a reservoir.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Taranaki, containing by admeasurement 11 acres 3 roods 35 perches, more or less, being Section No. 1 of the Town Belt of Pukearuhe Township. Bounded towards the North and East by high-water mark; towards the South-east by the Waikaramarama Stream and by Gilbert Road, 577·4 links; towards the South-west by Page Terrace, 1187·5 links;
and towards the North-east by Section No. 2, 340 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For police purposes.
All that parcel of land in the Township of Manai, Provincial District of Taranaki, containing by admeasurement 3 roods, more or less, being Sections Nos. 9, 11, and 20, Block XIV. Bounded towards the North by Terou Street; towards the East by Section No. 10; again towards the North by said Section No. 10; again towards the East by Tauhuri Street; towards the South by Section No. 21; again towards the East by Section No. 22; again towards the South by North Road; and towards the West by Sections Nos. 19 and 8, said Block XIV.: as the same is delineated on the map in the Survey Office, New Plymouth. For police purposes.
WELLINGTON.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Wellington, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, being Allotment No. 126 on the map of the Township of Waverley. Bounded towards the North by Brassey Street, 251 links; towards the East by a road, 400 links; towards the South by Allotment No. 144, 251 links; and towards the West by Allotment No. 125, 400 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For police purposes.
MARLBOROUGH.
All that parcel of land in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 35 perches, more or less, being Section No. 190, Town of Kaikoura. Bounded on the North by Dover Terrace, 240 links; on the East by Ward Street, 316 links; on the South by Town Section No. 188, 240 links; and on the West by Town Section No. 189, 287 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Blenheim. For road purposes.
OTAGO.
All that parcel of land in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres and 14 perches, more or less, being Block VIII., Township of Gordon. Bounded on the North by a road and the railway-line; on the East by the Waikaka River; on the South by Toronto Street; and on the West by Dundas Street: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Dunedin. For a recreation-ground.
