Revoking the Setting-apart of Land in Otago for Agricul-
tural Lease.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the fifty-fifth section of "The Mining
Act, 1886," it is, amongst other things, enacted that
it shall be lawful for the Governor to cause Crown lands
situate within a goldfield to be selected and set apart for the
purpose of granting agricultural leases, or for alienation
by occupation licenses on deferred payments under any law
for the time being in force in the land district in which
such mining district is situate:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto
was, by Proclamation dated the thirty-first day of October,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three, set apart for
agricultural lease:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to revoke the said
Proclamation in so far as it relates to the land mentioned in
the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby revoke
the said Proclamation of the thirty-first day of October, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-three, in so far as it
relates to the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this ninth day
of May, 1887.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
was reserved for public purposes: And whereas, in
the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said
land in the Featherston Town Board:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section
of "The Public Reserves Act, 1881," doth hereby declare
that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the said
reserve shall become vested in the Featherston Town Board,
in trust, for Town Board purposes.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District,
containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being
Section No. 37, Town of Featherston, and bounded as fol-
lows: On the North-east by Brandon Street, 100 links; on
the South-east by Section No. 38, 250 links; on the South-
west by Section No. 36, 100 links; and on the North-west
by Renall Street, 250 links: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited
in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this eleventh
day of May, 1887.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
was reserved for river protection: And whereas, in
the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the
said land in the Board of Conservators of the Waimakariri
District:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of
"The Public Reserves Act, 1881," doth hereby declare that,
from and after the day of the date hereof, the said reserve
mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the
Board of Conservators of the Waimakariri District, in trust,
for the improvement and protection of the banks of the
Waimakariri River.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Canter-
bury, containing by admeasurement 9 acres, more or less,
being Section No. 1317 (in red), situate in the Rangiora
Survey District. Bounded towards the South-east by the
south branch of the River Waimakariri; towards the North
by the road-line south of Section No. 364; and generally
towards the North-west by the road-line south-east of Section
No. 297: save and excepting thereout that portion of Section
No. 391 which is included in the above-described boundaries;
as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District
Survey Office, Christchurch.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by
"The Salmon and Trout Act, 1867," "The Salmon and
Trout Act 1867 Amendment Act, 1884," and "The Fisheries
Conservation Act, 1884," I, William Francis Drummond
Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said colony, do hereby make the following regulation:β
REGULATION.
The regulations prescribing conditions for netting in that
part of the Provincial District of Canterbury to the north of
the Rangitata River, and in the waters thereof, which were
made by Order in Council bearing date the fourteenth day of
December, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, and
published in the New Zealand Gazette of the sixteenth day
of December, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six,
shall not apply to that portion of the River Waimakariri
east of a straight line drawn at right angles to the course of
the said river, and across the said river from the eastern
corner of Rural Section No. 1393 in the Mandeville Survey
District, the said corner of Rural Section No. 1393 being two
miles or thereabouts in an easterly direction from the main
bridge over the River Waimakariri, in the Town of Kaiapoi.

terms and conditions as the Governor in Council thinks fit:
