WHEREAS by the 21st section of “The Medical Practitioners’ Registration Act, 1869,” it is provided that, if any registered person shall be or shall have been convicted of any felony or misdemeanour in Great Britain, Ireland, or in any of the British Dominions, the Registrar-General and Registrar, respectively, shall erase the name of any such person from the register, and such erasure shall be notified by the Registrar-General in the New Zealand Gazette: And whereas Charles James Russell, Lic. and Lic. in Midwif., Fac. Phys. and Surg., Glasgow, also M.D., Univ. Syracuse, New York, a registered person, was, on the 14th day of April, 1887, convicted of felony, to wit, procuring of abortion, I hereby notify that I have this day erased the name of the said

IN the matter of a judgment of the Court given during a session opened at Whanganui, in the said district, on the 14th day of January, 1886, upon the hearing of a claim for investigation of title to land situate in the said district, and known as Pohonuiatane; and in the matter of the application of Ruka Puhaki and others for a rehearing upon such claim:

I, John Edwin Macdonald, Chief Judge of the said Court, and in exercise of the authority in that behalf vested in me, do hereby dismiss such application.

PASTORAL licenses of the under-mentioned runs, under Part VI. of “The Land Act, 1885,” will be offered by public auction at the Survey Office, Blenheim, on Tuesday, the 31st May, 1887, at noon. Three months’ rent and £1 1s. license-fee must be paid in each case on the fall of the hammer:—

• Licensee to have boundaries surveyed at his own expense whenever called upon to do so by the Land Board.
  † The public to have the right of free ingress and egress to any part of the land, notwithstanding the license.
  ‡ The public to have a right-of-way through this land.

Term of license, ten years.
