Land taken for a Road in Upper Ashburton Road District,

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and its amendments, for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a road in Upper Ashburton Road District, Provincial District of Canterbury:
And whereas the Upper Ashburton Road Board has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration required by the said Act and the amendments thereof:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the construction of the said road.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this thirtieth day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a portion of the Morrinsville-Te Aroha Section of the Waikato-Thames Railway:
And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land in the manner hereby provided have been observed and performed:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by section one hundred and thirty of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the further portion of the said line of railway hereinbefore specified.

Land set apart on Deferred Payments in Auckland.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the one hundred and fourth section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the Governor, by Proclamation in the Gazette, may from time to time set apart out of any suburban or rural lands such blocks or allotments of land as he shall think fit, and set the same aside for sale on deferred payments, and in such Proclamation may fix a day on which the land shall be open for application; and that he may also in like manner set apart for sale on deferred payments such blocks or allotments as may be recommended by any Land Board, and may also from time to time alter, amend, or revoke any such Proclamation:
And whereas the Land Board of Auckland has passed a resolution recommending that the land described in the Schedule hereto annexed should be set apart for sale on deferred payments:
And whereas it is expedient to give effect to the aforesaid recommendation, and to set apart the said land accordingly:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the above-named Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is set apart for sale on deferred payments; and that Wednesday, the first day of June, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, shall be the day on which the said land shall be open for application, in allotments as surveyed and marked on the selection map in the principal land office of the district.
And, further, in pursuance of the one hundred and tenth section of “The Land Act, 1885,” I do hereby fix the price at which the land so described shall be sold to be the price stated in the Schedule hereto.
