In the matter of "The Companies Act, 1882," and the amendments thereof, and in the matter of the Hutt and Petone Gas Company (Limited).
NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was, on the 2nd day of April, 1887, presented to the Supreme Court by JOHN RUTHERFURD BLAIR, a contributory of the said company; and that the said petition is directed to be heard on the 19th day of April, 1887; and any creditor or contributory of the said company, desirous to oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of the said company, should appear at the time of hearing, by himself or his counsel, for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same, by the undersigned, on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between the undersigned, HENRY HUCKS GIBBS, AUGUSTUS SILLEM, ALBAN GEORGE HENRY GIBBS, JAMES CHARLES HAYNE, VICARY GIBBS, HERBERT COCKAYNE GIBBS, TYNDALL BRIGHT, CHARLES EDWARD BRIGHT, and REGINALD BRIGHT, as Merchants, under the style or firm of "Antony Gibbs, Sons, and Co.," of Liverpool and Bristol, and who carry on business in Australia and New Zealand under the style or firm of "Gibbs, Bright, and Co.," expired on the 31st day of December, 1886, so far as concerns the said James Charles Hayne, who has retired from the said firm. The business will continue to be carried on by the said Henry Hucks Gibbs, Augustus Sillem, Alban George Henry Gibbs, Vicary Gibbs, Herbert Cockayne Gibbs, Tyndall Bright, Charles Edward Bright, and Reginald Bright, under the same respective styles or firms as heretofore.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between REGINALD EDWARD BECKETT, THOMAS HAMMOND, and ALFRED DICK, carrying on business at Marton, Rangitikei, under the style of "Beckett, Hammond, and Dick," as Merchants, Auctioneers, Farmers, and Gra-ziers, was, by mutual consent, dissolved as on and from the 28th day of February, 1887. All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid by Mr. Beckett.
Messrs. Beckett and Dick will hereafter carry on business together in copartnership, as Merchants and Auctioneers, under the style or firm of "Beckett and Dick."

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed to insert in the Church Property Trustees Bill, to be introduced at the next session of Parliament, clauses to effect the purposes following, that is to say,-
To enable the Trustees to deal with all the lands vested in them for ecclesiastical and educational purposes by virtue of a certain deed of conveyance bearing date the 14th day of March, 1856, and made between the Canterbury Association, of the one part, and the Church Property Trustees, of the other part, registered number 4964, in the manner provided by the Church Property Trust Amendment Ordinance, Session 11, No. 3, with the powers in the said ordinance contained, that is to say, to lease, let, sell, alienate, mortgage, charge, or otherwise dispose of the same as they, in their discretion, shall think fit.
And notice is further given that it is proposed to intitute the said Bill as follows:-
"An Act to extend the Powers of dealing with certain Lands vested in the Church Property Trustees of the Diocese of Christchurch by a certain Deed of Conveyance bearing Date the 14th Day of March, 1856, and made between the Canterbury Association, of the one part, and the said Church Property Trustees, of the other part, Registered Number 4964."

THE AUCKLAND ROMAN CATHOLIC CEMETERY LEASING ACT, 1887.
TAKE notice that at the next session of the General Assembly of New Zealand, in Parliament assembled, application will be made for leave to bring in a Bill, the object of which will be to empower the Roman Catholic Bishop of the Diocese of Auckland for the time being, or his representative, to grant leases, for any term not exceeding 66 years in possession, at a rack-rent, without fine or premium, of all or any part of the Symonds Street frontage of the property situated in the City of Auckland known as the Roman Catholic Cemetery, the property intended to be affected by the said Bill being the unused portion of the said cemetery, and extending back 133 links. Power will also be given by the said Bill authorizing the laying-out of streets, paths, and drains through and over the said property, and the granting of any portion or portions of the said property for public purposes.
