A PPLICATION having been made by PHILLIP WALKER, of Dunganville, Storekeeper, registered in Vol. iv., folio 1042, as Proprietor of Section 94, Dunganville, for a provisional certificate of title to be issued in his name in respect of the said section, and proof produced to my satisfaction of the destruction of the original certificate of title thereto, I hereby notify that it is my intention to issue a provisional certificate as requested, unless caveat forbidding the same be lodged with me within fourteen days from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND.—WELLINGTON DISTRICT.
In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and the amendments thereof, and in the matter of the Palmerston North Gas Company (Limited).
NOTICE is hereby given that, by order of the Court dated the 25th day of March, 1887, upon the petition of John Waldegrave, of Palmerston North, a contributory of the above-named company, it was ordered that the above-named company be wound up by the Court under the provisions of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and the amendments thereof; and it was further ordered that JAMES LINTON, of Palmerston North, Commission Agent, be appointed the Official Liquidator of the said company, and that all further proceedings in the winding-up of the said company be carried on in the District Court of Wanganui, held at Palmerston North; and it was further ordered that the petitioner be allowed his costs of and relating to the said petition out of the assets of the said company, such costs to be taxed by the Registrar.

In the matter of a Bill intituled “An Act to extend the Powers of leasing Reserve No. 8, in the City of Christchurch, vested in the Church Property Trustees of the Diocese of Christchurch by the Church Property Trust Amendment Ordinance, Session XI., No. 6, of the late Superintendent and Provincial Council of Canterbury.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Church Property Trustees of Canterbury intend to present a petition to the General Assembly of New Zealand, at the ensuing session thereof, praying for leave to introduce a Bill to be intituled “An Act to extend the Powers of leasing Reserve No. 8, in the City of Christchurch, vested in the Church Property Trustees of the Diocese of Christchurch by the Church Property Trust Amendment Ordinance, Session XI., No. 6, of the late Superintendent and Provincial Council of Canterbury.” By the said Bill it is intended to empower the said Trustees to lease the said Reserve No. 8 for any term not exceeding ninety-nine years, and to confer upon the said Trustees powers to make agreements with lessees in respect of the said reserve, for the value of improvements thereon, and for redeeming the same, similar to the powers contained in section 6 of “The Otago Presbyterian Church Board of Property Amendment Act, 1884.”
Copies of the said Bill will be deposited at the office of the Examiner of Standing Orders on or before the commencement of the session, and may also be had upon application to Messrs. Bell, Gully, and Izard, Solicitors, Wellington, or to the undersigned.

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and of the North New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative Association (Limited).
AT an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named association, duly convened, and held at the Public Hall, Hamilton, on Friday, the 25th day of February, 1887, the following special resolution was duly passed, viz.:
“That the North New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative Association be wound up voluntarily.”
And at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the said association, duly convened, and held at the said hall, on Wednesday, the 16th day of March instant, the said resolution was confirmed, and WILLIAM GARRETT and GEORGE FRASER, both of Auckland, Accountants, were appointed Liquidators for the purpose of winding up the said association, at a remuneration of three pounds per centum on the amount realized by the assets of the association.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership lately subsisting between us, the undersigned CHARLES ALEXANDER EVERETT and EDWARD EVERETT the Younger, as General Drapers and Clothiers, at Nelson, in New Zealand, under the firm of “Everett Brothers,” was, on the 31st day of August, 1886, dissolved by mutual consent; and that the said Edward Everett the younger will continue to carry on the said business at the same address alone; and that all debts due and owing by the late firm will be received and paid by the said Edward Everett the younger.

Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the uniform rate of 6d. per line for each insertion.
For half-yearly statements under the Mining Act, the charge will be 23s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
Booksellers and Advertising Agents will be allowed a commission at the rate of 5 per cent.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before two o’clock of the day preceding publication.
Communications should be addressed to the Government Printer, Wellington, to whom post office money orders should be made payable.
Postage or duty stamps cannot in any case be received in payment from any place at which post office orders are issued.
