In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and in the
matter of the Palmerston North Gas Company (Limited).
NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-
up of the above-named company by the District
Court of Wanganui, held at Palmerston North, was, on
the fourteenth day of March, 1887, presented to the Supreme
Court of New Zealand by John Waldegrave, a contributory
of the said company; and that the said petition is directed to
be heard on the twenty-fifth day of March, 1887, and any
creditor or contributory of the said company, desirous to
oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of the said
company, should appear at the time of hearing by himself
or his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition
will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said
company requiring the same by the undersigned, on pay-
ment of the regulated charge for the same.

and Master of Surgery of the University of Edinburgh,
Scotland, now residing at Glenkenich, in the Provincial Dis-
trict of Otago, hereby give you notice that it is my intention
to apply to you, on the 9th day of April, 1887, to have my
name placed on the Medical Register of the Colony of New
Zealand; and that I have deposited my evidence of qualifi-
cation for public inspection in the office of the Registrar of
Births, Deaths, and Marriages in Dunedin.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of 30s.
per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than
three months cannot be subscribed for.
Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the uniform rate of 6d. per
line for each insertion.
For half-yearly statements under the Mining Act, the
charge will be 23s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
Booksellers and Advertising Agents will be allowed a com-
mission at the rate of 5 per cent.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday even-
ing in each week, and notices for insertion must be received
by the Government Printer before two o’clock of the day
preceding publication.
Communications should be addressed to the Government
Printer, Wellington, to whom post office money orders should
be made payable.
Postage or duty stamps cannot in any case be received in
payment from any place at which post office orders are issued.
NO ADVERTISEMENT WILL BE INSERTED WITHOUT PREPAY-
