A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and sixty-second section of “The Land Act, 1885,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the sections of land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart and declared for application as a village homestead special settlement for perpetual leasing, upon the terms and conditions fixed by an Order in Council issued on the first day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, and made under the one hundred and sixty-third section of the said Act.

AKATEA VILLAGE HOMESTEAD SPECIAL SETTLEMENT.
Parish of Waipa.
Lot 95, 50 acres; Lot 96, 50 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at Dunedin, this twenty-sixth day of February, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and sixty-second section of “The Land Act, 1885,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the parcels of land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart and declared open for application as a village homestead special settlement for perpetual leasing, upon the terms and conditions fixed by an Order in Council issued on the first day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, and made under the one hundred and sixty-third section of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.
SHEPHERD’S BUSH SURVEY DISTRICT (NEAR MAYFIELD).
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 700 acres, more or less, situate in the Shepherd’s Bush Survey District. Bounded towards the North-east by Sections Nos. 30285, 30286, 30287, 30288, and 30289, 9819 links; towards the North-west by a road-line, 8403 links; towards the South-east by Sections Nos. 29760, 29761, and 29762, 9136 links; and towards the South-west by Section No. 33061, 6533 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 990 acres, more or less, situate in the Shepherd’s Bush Survey District. Bounded towards the North-west by a line 5 chains north-west of and parallel to the continuation of the road-line running through Section No. 31331, 6614 links, also by the continuation of the road-line north-west of Section No. 31387, 941 links; towards the North-east by a line bearing 135° 48', 14254 links; towards the South-east by a line bearing 45° 48', 7250 links; towards the South-west generally by a line bearing 135° 48', 500 links, also by Sections Nos. 23402, 28401, 31332, and 31331, and a road-line: be all the aforesaid link-

ages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the one hundred and thirty-fifth section of “The Land Act, 1885,” and of every other power and authority enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the section of land enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be set apart for lease, with right of renewal, under the provisions of Part IV. of “The Land Act, 1885.”
