Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of Roads over Lands
in the Auckland Provincial District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Francis Drum-
mond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim that the roads described in the Schedule
hereto have been duly taken and laid off through the lands
specified under warrants of the dates given in the said
Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 26 perches,
more or less, situate in the Purua Survey District, and
being a road-line, 100 links wide, traversing the Waiariki
Block No. 1; commencing at a point on a road being the
north-western boundary of Waiariki Block No. 1 at a dis-
tance of 43 links or thereabouts from the angle, being the
middle of the road above referred to; and thence continuing
south-easterly generally for a distance of 412 links or there-
abouts to the Waiariki Stream: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less; as the same is delineated on Plan No. 3654,
deposited in the Survey Office, Auckland.
Dates of warrants: 25th November, 1880; 12th May, 1884.

All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, containing by admeasurement 10 acres 1 rood 33
perches, more or less, situate partly in the Purua Survey
District and partly in the Whangarei Survey District, and
being a road-line, 100 links wide and upwards, traversing the
Raumanga No. 1 Block; commencing at the Waiariki
Stream, being the middle of the road above referred to; and
thence continuing south-easterly generally for a distance of
10400 links or thereabouts to another road crossing the Te
Haha Creek: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as
the same is delineated on Plan No. 3654, deposited in the
Survey Office, Auckland.
Dates of warrants: 25th November, 1880; 12th May, 1884.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General
in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable
Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said
Colony, at Dunedin, this twenty-second day of

January, in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-seven.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under "The Public Works
Act, 1882," and its amendments, for a certain work, to wit,
the construction of a road in Halcombe Town District, Pro-
vincial District of Wellington:
And whereas the Halcombe Town Board has laid before
the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also
the statutory declaration, required by the said Act and the
amendments thereof:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by
"The Public Works Act, 1882," and of every other power
and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do
hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date
of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the
land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for
the purposes of the construction of the said road.

P.W.D. 14558, deposited in the office of the Minister for
Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of
Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
