NOTICE is hereby given that EDWARD WATERS, Patent Agent, of Melbourne, in the Colony of Victoria, has applied, on behalf of J. FROSSARD AND COMPANY, of Payerne, in Switzerland, to register, under “The Trade Marks Act, 1866,” the trade mark of which the following is a description, viz.:

Two crossed fish-hooks, upon which is an oval medallion bearing the Geneva Cross.

Nature of the Articles to which it is intended such Trade Mark shall apply.

Arrangements for First Elections, Town District of Richmond, County of Waimea.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint

EDWARD COWLES

to be the Returning Officer to conduct the first elections of seven Commissioners for the Town District of Richmond, as constituted under “The Town Districts Act, 1881;” also to appoint Saturday, the 27th day of March, 1886, to be the time, and the Institute at Richmond to be the place, for holding such first elections; also to appoint Tuesday, the 30th day of March, 1886, at half-past 7 o’clock in the evening, to be the time, and the said Institute to be the place, at which the first meeting of the Commissioners of the said town district shall be held.

THAT the special order fixing mode of election of Trustees, made on the 2nd day of April, 1883, be rescinded, and that a special order be made: “That the election of Trustees in future be carried out in accordance with ‘The Regulation of Local Elections Act, 1876.’”

I hereby certify that the foregoing special order was passed at a meeting of the Road Trustees, held on Monday, the 1st February, and that all the conditions relating thereto imposed by “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” have been fulfilled.
