Land temporarily reserved in the Land Districts of Auckland, Nelson, Canterbury, Otago, and Southland.

WHEREAS by the two hundred and twenty-seventh section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Land Districts of Auckland, Nelson, Canterbury, Otago, and Southland, described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 7 acres 2 rood 37 perches, more or less, being called or known as Section No. 5 of Block IV., Maketu Survey District, Provincial District of Auckland. Bounded towards the North by the Otumakoro Creek and the Tapati No. 7 Block, 571 links and 72 links; towards the East by Section No. 7, 1004 links; towards the South-east by a road, 106·5 links; again towards the East by a road, 446 links; towards the South-west generally by a road, 91 links, 330 links, 184 links, 101 links, 167 links, 56 links, 310 links, 279 links, and 1095 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For police and telegraph purposes.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 6 perches, more or less, being called or known as Section No. 3 of Block IV., Maketu Survey District, Provincial District of Auckland. Bounded towards the North-east by a road, 225 links and 96 links; towards the South-east by Section No. 2, 339 links; towards the South-west by the Wharekahu Block, 315 links; and towards the North-west by Section No. 4, 348 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a school site.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 acre 3 roods 20 perches, more or less, being called or known as Section No. 1 of Block IV., Maketu Survey District, Provincial District of Auckland. Bounded towards the North by Section No. 7, 799 links; towards the East generally by the Wharekahu No. 2 Block, 107·5 links, 64 links, and 164 links; towards the South by Section No. 2, 565 links; towards the South-west and West by a road, 130 links and 186 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. All that piece or parcel of land being the south part of the section called or known as the northern portion of Section No. 190, Parish of Waiwera, situate in the Waiwera Survey District, Provincial District of Auckland, and containing by admeasurement 9 acres 2 roods 15 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the North by a cemetery reserve, 887 links; towards the South-east generally by a public road, 276 links, 177 links, 240 links, 326 links, 596 links, 175 links, and 354 links; and towards the West generally by a public road, 904 links and 317 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a school site.
All that piece or parcel of land being the north part of the section called or known as the northern portion of Section No. 190, Parish of Waiwera, situate in the Waiwera Survey District, Provincial District of Auckland, and containing by admeasurement 8 acres 3 roods 25 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the North generally by a public road, 760 links and 141 links; towards the East generally by a public road, 337 links, 434 links, 160 links, and 129 links; towards the South by a school reserve, 887 links; and towards the West by a public road, 1042 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a site for a cemetery.
All that piece or parcel of land situate in the Town of Ngaruawahia or Newcastle, Provincial District of Auckland, known as Lot No. 664A, containing 3 acres 2 roods 8 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the North-west by Newton Street, 602 links; towards the North-east by Galileo Street, 590 links; towards the South-east by Kepler Street, 602 links; and towards the South-west by South Street, 590 links. For a school site.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 226 acres and 5 perches, more or less, situate in the Survey District of Newcastle, Provincial District of Auckland, being Section No. 86 of the Parish of Waipa. Bounded towards the North by a line, 6000 links; towards the East by a line, 3980 links; towards the South by a line 3357 links, by the crossing of a road 115 links, by a road 709 links, 349 links, 343 links, 503 links, and 609 links, and by a line 560 links; towards the West by a line, 3186 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; saving and excepting a public road, 100 links wide, which intersects the block, and containing by admeasurement 4 acres 2 roods 38 perches, more or less. For a recreation and thermal-springs reserve.

NELSON.
All that piece or parcel of land containing 20 acres, more or less, situate in the Land District of Nelson (Oparara Survey District). Bounded on the Northward by a public road leading from Karamea to Motueka; on the Eastward by Section No. 2, Block XIV., Oparara District; on the Southward by a public road on the banks of the Karamea River; and on the Westward by Section No. 3, Square No. 153. For a site for a cemetery.
CANTERBURY.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, being Section No. 2696 (in red), situate in the Waitaki Survey District. Bounded towards the North by Section No. 23759; towards the West by a true north and south line drawn from the easternmost corner of Section No. 35539; and towards the South by the River Waihao: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch. For river conservation purposes.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, being Section No. 2697 (in red), situate in the Waitaki Survey District. Bounded towards the North by Section No. 23761; towards the East by the road-line west of Section No. 35539; towards the West by Section No. 35552; and towards the South by the River Waihao: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch. For river conservation purposes.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, being Section No. 2698 (in red), situate in the Waitaki Survey District. Bounded towards the North-east by Sections Nos. 23755 and 35493; towards the East by Section No. 35552; towards the South and South-west by the River Waihao: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch.
