ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this nineteenth day of October, 1886.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by "The Public Works Act, 1882," and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the Government work known as the Greymouth to Hokitika Railway shall and may be constructed on or through the parcel of land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
The parcel of land mentioned hereunder:—

Approximate Area of the Parcel of Land required to be taken. Being Block. Situated in the Survey District of
A. R. P. 17 3 30 Native Reserve No. 30 XIII. Waimea.

In the Provincial District of Westland; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 14243, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured pink.

WHEREAS by the two hundred and twenty-seventh section of "The Land Act, 1885," it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Land Districts of Auckland, Taranaki, Wellington, Canterbury, and Otago, described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified.

SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 15 acres 1 rood, more or less, being Section No. 22 of the Parish of Karamu, and situate in Block III., Alexandra Survey District. Bounded towards the North generally by the Waipa River; towards the South-east by a road, 2050 links; and towards the South-west by a road, 1770 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a landing reserve.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, and being Section No. 4A of Block V., Hara-taunga Survey District. Bounded towards the North by Section No. 4, 619·8 links; towards the East by Section No. 4 aforesaid, 874·2 links; towards the South by a road, 540·2 and 235·8 links; towards the West by Section No. 4 aforesaid, 670·6 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a school site.

All that piece or parcel of land at Tauranga, in the Provincial District of Auckland, known by the name of Hopukiore No. 2, containing by admeasurement 9 acres 2 roods 16 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the North-east by the sea; towards the East by the Hopukiore No. 1 Block, 1120 links; towards the South by the Hopukiore No. 1 Block aforesaid, 600 links; towards the South-west by the Hopukiore No. 1A Block, 512 links; and towards the North-west by the termination of a road-line and the Hopukiore No. 1 Block aforesaid, 1160 links. For a signal station.

TARANAKI.
All that piece or parcel of land situate in the Provincial District of Taranaki, containing 2 acres 3 roods 39 perches, and being Sections Nos. 22, 23, and 24 on the map of Eltham Village Settlement. Bounded on the North by Section No. 16 of Block X., Ngaire Survey District, 538·8 links; on the East by Mountain Road, 426·7 links; on the South by Eltham Road, 1035·2 links; and towards the North-west by the Mangawarawara Stream: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a school site.

NOTE.—This notification is issued in lieu of that published in Gazette No. 74 of the 7th September, 1882, page 1225. The land having been erroneously described.

WELLINGTON.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Wellington, being Section No. 536, Block VIII., Wainui Survey District, containing by admeasurement 223 acres 3 roods, more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington. For primary education.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Wellington, being Section No. 106, Block V., Wairarapa Survey District, containing by admeasurement 245 acres, more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington. For primary education.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Wellington, being Sections Nos. 1 and 2, Block VIII., Wainuioru Survey District, containing by admeasurement 923 acres, more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington. For primary education.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Wellington, being Section No. 33, Block III., Mangaone Survey District, containing by admeasurement 299 acres 3 roods, more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington. For primary education.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Wellington, being Section No. 6, Block IV., Mangahao Survey District, containing by admeasurement 104 acres, more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington. For primary education.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Wellington, being Section No. 127, Block VII., Mangahao Survey District, containing by admeasurement 184 acres and 32 perches, more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington. For primary education.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Wellington, being Section No. 15, Mangamahoe Village, containing by admeasurement 3 roods 10 perches, more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington. For primary education.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Wellington, being Section No. 61, Block I., Makuri Survey District, containing by admeasurement 11 acres 3 roods 8 perches, more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington. For a school site.

All that piece or parcel of land in the Provincial District of Wellington, being Sections Nos. 17 and 18, Mangamahoe Village, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 3 roods 12 perches, more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington. For a school site.
