Special Orders made by Wairarapa East County Council.—Constituting Akiteo Road District, and amending Boundaries of Castlepoint Road District.

THE following special orders, made by the Council of the County of Wairarapa East, are published in accordance with the provisions of “The Counties Acts Amendment Act, 1885.”

SPECIAL ORDER made by the Council of the County of Wairarapa East, constituting the Akiteo Road District.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it, the Council of the County of Wairarapa East resolves that all that portion of the Provincial District of Wellington, situate within the said county, comprising one continuous area, and bounded towards the North from the point where the northern boundary of the said provincial district crosses the Puketoi Range to the mouth of the Waimata River, by the Waipawa County; thence towards the South-east to the south-easternmost corner of Section No. 724, Block VIII., Castlepoint Survey District, by the ocean; thence towards the South and South-west by Subdivisions Nos. 5 and 3 of the Castlepoint Road District, as described on pages 668 and 669, New Zealand Gazette No. 42, dated the 18th May, 1883; thence towards the West by Subdivision No. 4 of the said road district, as described on page 1248, New Zealand Gazette No. 51, dated the 30th September, 1886, and by the Pahiatua Road District to the point of commencement, shall constitute a new road district, to be called the Akiteo Road District, which shall be represented by five members, but shall not be subdivided.

Passed by the said Council, this 12th day of October, 1886.

SPECIAL ORDER made by the Council of the County of Wairarapa East, altering the Boundaries of the Castlepoint Road District.

WHEREAS the Council of the County of Wairarapa East has, by special order of this date, constituted Subdivisions Nos. 6 and 7 of the Castlepoint Road District into a new district, to be called the Akiteo Road District, whereby an alteration in the description of the boundaries of such first-mentioned district has become necessary: Now, therefore, this Council, by special order, resolves that, from and after the gazetting of this special order, the following shall be the boundaries of the Castlepoint Road District and of the several subdivisions thereof, each of which subdivisions shall return one member to the Board:—

Castlepoint Road District (amended): Bounded towards the East from a point on the Puketoi Range a line from which on a bearing south (magnetic) will strike the northern corner of Section No. 28, Block VIII., Puketoi Survey District, to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 724, Block VIII., Castlepoint Survey District, by the western and southern boundaries of the Akiteo Road District before described; thence Southwards by the sea-coast to the mouth of the Whareama River; thence towards the South by the Whareama Road District to the south-west corner of Section No. 518, Block XIII., Mangapakeha Survey District; thence towards the West by the Upper Taueru, Alfredton, and Pahiatua Road Districts to the starting-point.
