I, the undersigned, hereby make application to register the Progress Gold-mining Company as a Limited Company, under the provisions of “The Mining Companies Act, 1886.”

  1. The name of the company is to be the Progress Gold-mining Company (Limited).

  2. The place of intended operations is at Devil’s Creek, in the District of Reefton, in the County of Inangahua.

  3. The registered office of the company will be situated at Broadway, Reefton, in the county and colony aforesaid.

  4. The nominal capital of the company is twelve thousand pounds, divided into twenty-four thousand shares of ten shillings each.

  5. The number of shares subscribed for is twenty-four thousand, being the entire number of shares in the company.

  6. The number of paid-up shares is nil.

  7. The amount of capital paid up is two thousand four hundred pounds.

  8. The name of the Manager is Patrick Brennan.

“That Mr. Arthur Baddeley be appointed Liquidator for the purpose of winding up the affairs of the company.”
