IT is hereby notified that the under-mentioned sections are open for lease for a term of thirty years, with the right of renewal for further terms of twenty-one years, and that applications will be received on the 30th November, 1886, for the said leases, at the Land Offices, Christchurch and Timaru:—

The only charge for the lease will be a fee of 10s. No selector shall take up more than one allotment. Plans may be seen at the Land Offices, Christchurch and Timaru, where also copies of the Village Homestead Special-settlement Regulations may be obtained.

Perpetual Lease of Crown Lands under Section 143, "The Land Act, 1885," Provincial District of Canterbury.

WRITTEN tenders, under sealed covers, will be received for the perpetual lease of the under-mentioned reserve, under Part IV. of "The Land Act, 1885," up to 10 a.m. on the 26th November, 1886, addressed to the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Christchurch, and indorsed "Tender for Perpetual Lease of Reserve 2033, on south bank of Orari River, near Geraldine."

Every tender must be accompanied by a declaration, six months' rent, and a fee of £1 10s. Should there be two or more tenders of the same amount for the same section, the right to occupy will be decided by lot.

The tenders will be opened at the meeting of the Land Board on the 2nd December, 1886.

Reserve. 2033, 81 acres 1 rood; upset annual rental, £10 3s. 2d.

Lease of Reserves, Provincial District of Canterbury.

NOTICE is hereby given that the lease of the under-mentioned reserves, situate in the Eyre River-bed, near West Oxford, will be offered by public auction, in accordance with section 23 of "The Public Reserves Act, 1884," at the Land Office, Christchurch, on Wednesday, the 1st December, 1886, at 12 o'clock noon:—

Reserve 2714, containing 40 acres, and Reserve 2718, containing 43 acres 2 roods, at the upset annual rental of 1s. 6d. per acre.

Term of lease, seven years, to date from the 1st October last; and ten months' rent on the fall of the hammer, to be paid to the 1st October, 1887.
