Agricultural Lease cancelled.

IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to pronounce the under-mentioned agricultural lease cancelled, and that the ground is now open for application as if no lease of the said ground had ever been applied for:—

Thomas Towan; Section 45, Block III., 51 acres 1 rood 6 perches, Cromwell, Otago District. No. 1687c.

Mineral (Coal) Lease cancelled.

Mines Department,
Wellington, 27th October, 1886.

IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to pronounce the under-mentioned mineral (coal) lease cancelled, and that the ground is now open for application as if no lease of the said ground had ever been applied for:—

Thomas McNulty and Edward McNulty; Section 25A, Block I., 14 acres 3 roods 11 perches, Cromwell, Otago District.

Gold-mining Leases to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of “The Mines Act, 1877,” and with the regulations made under that Act for the granting of leases for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant leases of Crown lands for gold-mining purposes to the applicants specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against such leases.

Objections to the granting of such leases, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Warden at Reefton on or before the 24th day of November, 1886.

Copy of the applications made and plans annexed may be seen at the Warden’s Office at Reefton.

SCHEDULE.

APPLICANT: George Wise. Style under which it is intended to conduct the business: Garfield Quartz-mining Company. 16 acres 2 roods 5 perches, Section 69, Block XIV., Reefton, in the Nelson South-west Mining District.

Applicant: William G. Collings. Style under which it is intended to conduct the business: Empress Gold-mining Company. 16 acres 2 roods, at Devil’s Creek, in the Nelson South-west Mining District.

Applicant: Don Pedro Anderson. Style under which it is intended to conduct the business: Trebizond Gold-mining Company. 16 acres 2 roods, at Waitahu, in the Nelson South-west Mining District.

Given under my hand, at Nelson, this twenty-ninth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.
