HIS Excellency the Governor directs it to be notified that he has been informed by Her Majesty’s Principal Secretary of State for the Colonies that the Queen’s exequatur, empowering

ALEXANDRE BECK, Esq.,

to act as Consul for Belgium at Christchurch received Her Majesty’s signature on the 3rd August, 1886, and that the notification of Her Majesty’s approval of this appointment appeared in the London Gazette of the 6th August, 1886.
