Districts constituted under “The Marriage Act, 1880.”

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by “The Marriage Act, 1880,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing marriage district known as the Mercury Bay District; and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said district is hereby divided anew into two marriage districts, the names and boundaries whereof shall be as follow:—
MERCURY BAY DISTRICT.
All that area in the Provincial District of Auckland, bounded towards the North and East generally by the sea from Whangapoua Harbour to the northern head of Tairua Harbour; towards the South-west by a line drawn from the northern head of Tairua Harbour to the source of the Waikawhau River; towards the West and North-west by right lines from peak to peak along the summit of the dividing range between the East and West Coasts to Castle Rock (Trig. No. 24); thence by a right line to the source of the Opitonui Creek; and thence by the said creek to Whangapoua Harbour.
TAIRUA DISTRICT.
All that area in the Provincial District of Auckland, bounded towards the North-east by a straight line drawn from the source of the Waikawhau River to the northern head of Tairua Harbour, being the south-western boundary of the County of Coromandel; towards the West and South by the summit of the dividing range between the East and West Coasts to a point due west of the south-west corner of Wharekawa East No. 1 Block; thence towards the South by a right line to that corner; thence generally towards the South-east and South-west by the Tairua River and Wharekawa East No. 1 Block to the sea; thence towards the East by the sea to the northern head of Tairua Harbour.
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the first day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General in Her Majesty’s Army, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fourth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by “The Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1875,” I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing registration district known as the Mercury Bay District; and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said district is hereby divided anew into two registration districts, the names whereof shall be the Mercury Bay and Tairua Districts, and the boundaries whereof shall be coterminous with the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same names as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date herewith, made under the provisions of “The Marriage Act, 1880.”
And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the first day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the ninety-seventh section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the Governor, by Proclamation, may from time to time declare any Crown lands within any mining district, not held under license or lease at the date of such Proclamation, or over which the license or lease has been cancelled, to be open for sale or selection, in sections of such size and form, and on such date, as he may determine; and any land so proclaimed may hereafter be sold at a like price, and subject to the like terms and conditions, or as near thereto as may be, as Crown lands of the same class not within a mining district; and the Governor may from time to time alter, amend, or revoke any such Proclamation:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the land specified in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale by public auction on such day as may be fixed by the Land Board of the Land District of Southland.
SCHEDULE.
SECTION 31, Block XIX., Jacob’s River Hundred, 44 acres and 13 perches.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the one hundred and sixty-first section of “The Land Act, 1885,” and of every other power and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the sections of land described in the Schedule hereto shall be set apart for lease as small areas, with perpetual right of renewal.
SCHEDULE.
SECTIONS Nos. 35740 and 35741, as shown on the map of the Provincial District of Canterbury, in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Christchurch.
