WALLACE COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE UNDER “THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1882.”
NOTICE is hereby given that the Wallace County Council intend to take part of Section 20, Wairio District, for a road in lieu of a road stopped, and that the said Council have caused a plan to be prepared showing the land required to be taken for the same, together with the names of the owner and occupier of such land, as far as they can be ascertained, and that such plan is deposited at the office of the said Council, Riverton, and open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours; and all persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such work or the taking of such lands, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wallace County Council, at their office at Riverton.

WALLACE COUNTY.—MERGING OF THE APARIMA ROAD DISTRICT.
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Road Board of the Aparima Road District has been dissolved, and that the said road district has been merged in the Wallace County, by special order, on and after the 19th day of August, 1886, in accordance with the provisions of “The Counties Act, 1876,” and its amendments.

WAIMATE RAILWAY COMPANY (LIMITED), IN LIQUIDATION.
AT extraordinary general meeting held at the company’s office, High Street, Waimate, on Saturday, the 7th day of August instant, at the hour of 3 p.m., a special resolution was passed, “That the Waimate Railway Company (Limited) be voluntarily wound up, and that Mr. James S. De Emden be Liquidator;” and at extraordinary general meeting held at the company’s office, High Street, Waimate, on Saturday, the 21st day of August instant, at the hour of 3 p.m., the said resolution was duly confirmed.

NOTICE is hereby given that a General Meeting of the Shareholders of the above company will be held at 4 p.m. on the 30th day of October, 1886, at the Clubhouse, for the purpose of laying before the meeting the Liquidator’s account, showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator.

Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the uniform rate of 6d. per line for each insertion.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
Booksellers and Advertising Agents will be allowed a commission at the rate of 5 per cent.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before two o’clock of the day preceding publication.
