£25 Reward.

Constabulary Office,
Wellington, 4th August, 1886.

WHEREAS on the 24th May last a farmer named Edmond Morrissey, residing at Ophir, in the County of Vincent, mysteriously disappeared: And whereas it is supposed that some evil has befallen him: Notice is hereby given that a reward of £25 will be paid, in case of his death, to the person who shall first give information to the police of where his body will be found.

Description: A native of County Tipperary, Ireland, sixty-five years of age, 5ft. 10in., stout build, dark complexion, dark hair and whiskers turning grey. He arrived in Melbourne on the 24th July, 1857, by the ship “Lady Milton,” and thence proceeded to Otago about 1862, since which he has been a resident of the Lake District.

Native Land Court Notices.

Notice under “Native Land Laws Amendment Act, 1883.”

I, JOHN EDWIN MACDONALD, Chief Judge of the Native Land Court, do hereby, in compliance with the duty imposed upon me by “The Native Land Laws Amendment Act, 1883,” give notice that on the 24th day of July, 1886, the title to the lands mentioned in the Schedule herein became, within the meaning of the said Act, ascertained; and, further, that dealings with the said lands will cease to be prohibited by the provisions of the said Act on the 2nd day of September, 1886.

SCHEDULE.

NAME by which land is known: Kopata, Tapuwaeroa No. 1A, Tapuwaeroa No. 1B. Native Land Court District wherein situate: Gisborne. Area: 1,016 acres.
