Description: Undulating forest country, situate on the main road through the Puketitiri Bush. Accessible by roads which have been partly formed about two and a half miles through the bush; have been cleared of timber 1 chain in width. The Hawke's Bay County Council has formed a line of road giving access to these lands from the Patea Road, a distance of about seven miles from Tunanui. There is another dray-road via Puketapu and Rissington. The distance from Napier is about forty miles by road. The bush contains rimu, matai, and white-pine.
Crown Lands within the Okarito and Jackson's Bay Ridings, Land District of Westland, to be leased on the Perpetual-leasing System, under Section 161 of "The Land Act, 1885."

IT is hereby notified that the under-mentioned sections are open for leasing for a term of thirty years, with the right of renewal for further terms of twenty-one years, and that applications for the same will be received on and after the 25th August, 1886, at the Land Office, at Hokitika. Applications for sections situate within the Jackson's Bay Riding may also be made at the District Land Office, Arawata. Maps to be seen and conditions and forms to be obtained at the Land Offices named.
