Mining Notices.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT WATER-RACE.

To the Mining Registrar of Kaniere, and all other persons whom it may concern.

TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a Water-race and divert water for mining purposes, commencing at a point on the west side of the Kaniere Lake, running generally in a westerly direction to the termination-point on applicant’s claim now applied for, as shown on accompanying plan.

The length of such race is seven miles or thereabouts. The mean depth is 3 feet, and the mean breadth 4 feet, and it is proposed to carry fifty Government-heads of water. About twelve months is the estimated time for construction of such race.

Dated at Kaniere, this 20th day of July, 1886.

Any person objecting to the granting of this application must lodge his objection in writing at the Warden’s Office at Kaniere within thirty clear days from the date hereof.

TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a Water-race and divert water for irrigation purposes, commencing at a point on the north side of Blackman’s Creek about 300 yards above my farm and terminating at the said farm, Section No. 2, Block X., Leaning Rock District.

The length of such race is 300 yards or thereabouts. The mean breadth is 2 feet, and the depth is 1 foot, and it is proposed to divert one Government-head of water. The course of such race is south-west and north-east. The race is already constructed. Term for which license is required: Fifteen years.

The course of such race is south-west and north-east, and it is already constructed. Term for which license is required: Fifteen years.

I HEREBY give notice that I have this day marked out a Special Claim of 15 acres of land, situate at Kaniere Forks; bounded on the North by a line commencing at a peg A, and running in an easterly direction for about 15 chains to a point B; from thence in a southerly direction for a distance of 10 chains to a point C; from thence in a westerly direction to a point D; and from thence for a distance of about 15 chains to the starting-point A.
