A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon
me by the one hundred and sixty-second section of
“The Land Act, 1885,” I, William Francis Drummond
Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the sections of land de-
scribed in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are
hereby set apart and declared open for a village special settle-
ment for perpetual leasing, upon the terms and conditions
fixed by an Order in Council issued on the second day of June,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, and made under
the one hundred and sixty-third section of the said Act.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and fourth section of
“The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the
Governor, by Proclamation in the Gazette, may from time
to time set apart out of any suburban or rural lands such
blocks or allotments of land as he shall think fit, and set
the same aside for sale on deferred payments, and in such
Proclamation may fix a day on which the land shall be open
for application; and that he may also in like manner set
apart for sale on deferred payments such blocks or allot-
ments as may be recommended by any Land Board, and
may also from time to time alter, amend, or revoke any
such Proclamation :
And whereas the Land Board of Southland has passed a
resolution recommending that the land described in the
Schedule hereto annexed should be set apart for sale on de-
ferred payments :
And whereas it is expedient to give effect to the aforesaid
recommendation, and to set apart the said land accordingly :
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance
and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the
above-named Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
land described in the Schedule hereto is set apart for sale
on deferred payments; and that Wednesday, the first
day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
six, shall be the day on which the said land shall be open
for application, in allotments as surveyed and marked on
the selection map in the principal land office of the district.
And, further, in pursuance of the one hundred and tenth
section of “The Land Act, 1885,” I do hereby fix the price
at which the land so described shall be sold to be the price
stated in the Schedule hereto.
