Declaring a State Forest in the Land District of Auckland.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by "The New Zealand State Forests
Act, 1885," and of every other power and authority enabling
me in that behalf, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, do hereby set apart the forest lands described in the
Schedule hereto, forming part of the Crown lands in New
Zealand, as and for a State forest within the provisions of
the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land situate in Blocks X., XI.,
XIV., and XV., Tairua Survey District, County of Thames,
Provincial District of Auckland, containing by admeasure-
ment 5,000 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the North
by a line, 220 chains; towards the East by a line, 140 chains;
thence towards the South by a line, 40 chains; again towards
the East by a line, 170 chains; again towards the South, 84
chains; towards the West by lines 80 chains and 10 chains,
being eastern boundary of Whangamata No. 1 Timber Lease,
and by lines 122 chains and 42 chains, being the eastern
boundary and part of the northern boundary of Omahu
Timber Lease; thence by a line, 122 chains, to the starting-
point: be all the aforesaid measurements more or less.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General
in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of
the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael
and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honour-
able Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at the Government House, at Wel-
lington, this twenty-seventh day of July, in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-six.

1883."

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
is vested in certain aboriginal natives of New Zea-
land, subject to certain restrictions on the alienation of such
land, and application has been made for the removal of such
restrictions:
It is hereby notified that it is the intention of His Excel-
lency the Governor, immediately after the expiration of sixty
days from the publication of this notice in the Gazette and
in the Kahiti, to remove the said restrictions on the aliena-
tion of the said land.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William

in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable
Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-

SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the County of Piako, containing
by admeasurement 45 acres 1 rood 27 perches, more or less,
being part of Section No. 15, Block IX., Te Aroha Survey
District. Bounded towards the North-west by a line, being
the production in a north-easterly direction of the north-
western boundary of Section No. 16 of the said Block IX.,
2300 links; towards the North-east by a line bearing east
51° 15' south, 2271 links; towards the South-east by the pro-
duction of the northern side of Wilson Street, and by that
street, 3841 links; again towards the North-west and towards
the South-west by the said Section No. 16, 1358 links and
1100 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the
same is delineated on the plan in the Survey Office, Auck-
land.
