Goldfields Notices.
Additional Regulation as to Payment of Rewards for Discovery of New Goldfields.

Wellington, 28th June, 1886.
THE following additional regulation for the payment of rewards for the discovery of new goldfields, recommended by the Goldfields Committee on the 22nd June, 1886, having been adopted by the Government, is published for general information.
This regulation applies to the notifications published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 19th March and 29th October, 1885, offering rewards for gold discoveries.

ADDITIONAL REGULATION.
No claim for a reward for the discovery of gold will be considered by the Goldfields Committee unless such claim be made within one year from the date of the discovery.
Gold-mining Lease cancelled.

Wellington, 2nd July, 1886.
IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to pronounce the under-mentioned gold-mining lease cancelled, and that the ground is now open for application as if no lease of the said ground had ever been applied for:—
The Enterprise Water-race Company; No. 740c; Section No. 20, Block I., Naseby; area, 7 acres; Otago District.

Native Land Court Notices.
Application for Rehearing of Claim granted.
NATIVE LAND COURT, NEW ZEALAND:
DISTRICT OF WELLINGTON.
IN the matter of a decision of the Court given during a session opened at Palmerston North on the 5th day of September, 1885, upon the hearing of a claim for the subdivision of the land situate in the District of Manawatu, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and known as “Muaupoko;” and in the matter of an application for a rehearing upon the aforesaid claim, made to this Court, in writing, within three months after such decision, by Watene Harawira and others, thinking themselves aggrieved thereby:
I, John Edwin Macdonald, Chief Judge of the said Court, and in exercise of the authority in that behalf vested in me, do hereby order that a rehearing upon such claim be had on Tuesday, the 20th day of July, 1886, at a sitting of the Court to be then held at Paikakariki, in the said district.

DISTRICT OF WHANGANUI.
IN the matter of a judgment of the Court given during a session opened at Whanganui, in the said district, on the 14th day of January, 1886, upon the hearing of a claim for investigation of title to land situate in the said district, and known as “Ngaurukehu;” and in the matter of the application of Hiha Akatarewa and others for a rehearing upon such claim:
I, John Edwin Macdonald, Chief Judge of the said Court, and in exercise of the authority in that behalf vested in me, do hereby dismiss such application.

IN the matter of a judgment of the Court given during a session opened at Whanganui, in the said district, on the 14th day of January, 1886, upon the hearing of a claim to succeed to the interest of Nehanera Te Kahu in a block of land situate in the said district, and known as “Otuangiangi;” and in the matter of the application of Miriama Heirangi Te Kahu and others for a rehearing upon such claim:
I, John Edwin Macdonald, Chief Judge of the said Court, and in exercise of the authority in that behalf vested in me, do hereby dismiss such application.

Area, 49 acres 1 rood 32 perches; upset annual rental, £4 19s. Light arable land.
Under section 161 of “The Land Act, 1885,” only one allotment can be held by any one person. Every application must be accompanied by a statutory declaration, the amount of the first six months’ rent, and a fee of £1 10s. Should there be more than one application on the same day for the same allotment, the right to occupy shall be determined by lot.
