A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the twentieth section of “The Land Act
1877 Amendment Act, 1879,” the lands specified in
the Schedule hereto were, with other lands, set apart for sale
as a village settlement, by a Proclamation dated the twenty-
eighth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-four: And whereas by an Order in Council issued in
terms of the twenty-first section of the Act aforesaid it was
directed that the sections should be disposed of at the prices
stated therein for cash and on deferred payments: And
whereas it is expedient that the sections enumerated in the
Schedule hereto should be withdrawn from the ordinary
village-settlement system, with a view to their being offered
as village special-settlement lands for perpetual leasing:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance
and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me
by section six of “The Land Act, 1885,” and of every other
power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf,
do hereby revoke the said Proclamation of the twenty-eighth
day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four,
so far as it relates to the sections enumerated in the Schedule
hereto, and do proclaim and declare that the said sections
are hereby withdrawn from the ordinary village-settlement
system, in order that they may be disposed of as village
special-settlement lands for perpetual leasing.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the one hundred and fourth section of
“The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the Gover-
nor, by Proclamation in the Gazette, may from time to time
set apart out of any suburban or rural lands such blocks or
allotments of land as he shall think fit, and set the same
aside for sale on deferred payments, and in such Proclama-
tion may fix a day on which the land shall be open for appli-
cation; and that he may also in like manner set apart for
sale on deferred payments such blocks or allotments as may
be recommended by any Land Board, and may also from
time to time alter, amend, or revoke any such Proclama-
tion: And whereas the land specified in the Schedule hereto
was, with other lands, by Proclamation dated the thirtieth
day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three,
proclaimed as set apart for sale on deferred payments: And
whereas it is expedient to withdraw the said land from the
deferred-payment system:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance
and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the
above-named Act, do hereby revoke the Proclamation above
referred to, so far as it relates to the sections therein men-
tioned and included in the Schedule hereto, and do proclaim
and declare that the said sections are hereby withdrawn
from the operation of the deferred-payment system.
