MAUNGAKARETU No. 1.

All that parcel of land in the District of Wanganui, in the
Provincial District of Wellington, known by the name of
Maungakaretu No. 1, containing by admeasurement 6,627
acres, more or less. Bounded towards the North by Maungakaretu No. 2 Block; towards the South-east by the Mangamahu Stream; towards the South-west by the Matawhitia Block; and towards the North-west by the Wangaehu River.

MAUNGAKARETU No. 2.

All that parcel of land in the District of Wanganui, in the
Provincial District of Wellington, known by the name of
Maungakaretu No. 2, containing by admeasurement 8,630
acres, more or less. Bounded towards the North by the
Maungakaretu No. 3 Block; towards the East by the Maungakaretu No. 6 Block and the Mangamahu Stream; towards the South by the Maungakaretu No. 1 Block; and towards the West by the Wangaehu River.

MAUNGAKARETU No. 6.

All that parcel of land in the District of Wanganui, in the
Provincial District of Wellington, known by the name of
Maungakaretu No. 6, containing by admeasurement 16,140
acres, more or less. Bounded towards the North by the
Maungakaretu No. 5 Block; towards the East by the Turakina River; towards the South by the Maungakaretu No. 4 Block; and towards the West by the Maungakaretu Nos. 2, 3, and 5 Blocks.

WHITINUI.

All those two pieces of land at Mangaehu, in the District
of Patea, in the Provincial District of Taranaki, known by
the name of Whitinui, containing together by admeasurement 2,080 acres, more or less: One piece, lettered A, containing 3 acres 2 roods; bounded towards the North-east by the Mangaotuku Block, 1450 links; and towards the South and South-west by the Mangaehu River, 1750 links. The other piece, lettered B, containing 2,076 acres 2 roods; bounded towards the North-east by the Mangaotuku Block, 22750 links; towards the East by lines, 6592 links; towards the South by lines, 34756 links; and towards the West by the Mangaehu River, 27100 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

Altering Boundaries of Waikaia Licensing District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the sixth section of the Licensing Act,
1881," it is enacted that the Governor shall, as soon
as conveniently may be after the commencement of the said
Act, by Proclamation in the Gazette, from time to time define districts to be licensing districts under the said Act, and from time to time may alter and redefine the boundaries of the same:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in
me by the said Act, alter and redefine the boundaries of the
Waikaia Licensing District, which shall, from and after the
first day of July next, be those described in the Schedule
hereto.

SCHEDULE.

WAIIAIA.

All that area known as the Riding of Waikaia, and described
in the New Zealand Gazette No. 88, 31st August, 1883, exclusive of the Upper Waikaia Special Licensing District, as described in an Order in Council, dated the 23nd day of June, 1886, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 24th
June, 1886.

in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in him by the one hundred and thirty-fifth
section of "The Land Act, 1885," and of every other power
and authority enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby declare that the sections of land enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be set apart for lease,
with right of renewal, under the provisions of Part IV. of
"The Land Act, 1885."

Island Main Trunk Line of Railway, from a Point at
or near Marton to Te Awamutu, via Murimotu, Taumarunui, and the Ongaruhe River Valley (Portion of Porewa
Contract).
