from time to time alter, amend, or revoke any such Proclamation:

And whereas the Land Board of Southland has passed a resolution recommending that the land described in the Schedule hereto annexed should be set apart for sale on deferred payments:

And whereas it is expedient to give effect to the aforesaid recommendation, and to set apart the said land accordingly:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the above-named Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is set apart for sale on deferred payments; and that Wednesday, the eleventh day of August, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, shall be the day on which the said land shall be open for application, in allotments as surveyed and marked on the selection map in the principal land office of the district.

And, further, in pursuance of the one hundred and tenth section of “The Land Act, 1885,” I do hereby fix the price at which the land so described shall be sold to be the price stated in the Schedule hereto.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section two hundred and forty-seven of “The Land Act, 1885,” hereinafter termed “the said Act,” it is enacted that whenever the Governor is satisfied that any Native lands acquired by Her Majesty in any way, or purchased out of any sums authorized, or to be authorized, to be issued and expended in the purchase of lands in the North Island of New Zealand are free from Native claims and all difficulties in connection therewith, he shall, by Proclamation, declare such lands to be Crown lands, subject to be sold and dealt with as in the said Act is more particularly mentioned: And whereas the lands described in the Schedule hereto have been purchased out of sums so authorized to be issued and expended as aforesaid:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, being satisfied that the lands described in the Schedule hereto are free from Native claims and all difficulties in connection therewith, do hereby, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, proclaim and declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown lands, subject to be sold and dealt with according to the provisions of the laws regulating the sale and disposal of Crown lands in force in the land districts in which they are respectively situated.

SCHEDULE.
WAITOMOTOMO.

All that parcel of land at Mangakahia, in the District of Kaipara, in the Provincial District of Auckland, known by the name of Waitomotomo, containing by admeasurement 8,945 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the North by the Ngaturipukunui Block, 5874. and 1679 links; towards the North-east by the Purua Block 19211 and 9198 links, and by the Mangakowhara Stream; towards the South-east by the Wairua River; towards the South by lines, 6639 and 10723 links; and towards the West by the Mangakahia River, Te Apunga Stream, by the Rotokanae Block 113, 344, 283, 478, 205, 168, 256, 167, 274, 268, 322, 345, 525, 338, 513, 390, 167, 376, 239, 774, and 1125 links, and by the Hikurangi River: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; excepting out of the hereinbefore-described area the unsold interests of Eru Hiri and others, as ascertained and determined by the Native Land Court, containing 673 acres 1 rood, more or less.

MOEHAU No. 2A, No. 1.

All that parcel of land in the Harataunga Survey District, in the Provincial District of Auckland, known by the name of Moehau No. 2A, No. 1, containing by admeasurement 340 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the East by the Moehau No. 2A, No. 2 Block, 4333 links; towards the South-east by the Moehau No. 2A, No. 2 Block aforesaid, 8360 links; towards the West by the Moehau No. 3G Block, 5878 links; and towards the North-west by the Waikanae No. 1 Block, 980, 1940, 4062, 610, 940, 1805, and 329 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

MOEHAU No. 2B, No. 2.

All that parcel of land in the Harataunga Survey District, in the Provincial District of Auckland, known by the name of Moehau No. 2B, No. 2, containing by admeasurement 200 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the North by a stream; towards the North-east by the Mataikerangi Stream; towards the South by the Mangatu Stream; and towards the West by the Moehau No. 2A, No. 2 Block, 6205 links: be the aforesaid linkage more or less.

RANGITOTO.

All that parcel of land in the District of Thames, in the Provincial District of Auckland, known by the name of Rangitoto, containing by admeasurement 3 roods 37 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the North-west by the Rangitoto Creek; towards the North-east by Te Kapua Block, 309 links; towards the South-east by the said block, 159 and 30 links; and towards the South-west by lines, 122 and 383 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

OHINEMURI No. 3A.

All that parcel of land in the District of Ohinemuri, in the Provincial District of Auckland, known by the name of Ohinemuri No. 3A, containing by admeasurement 278 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the North-east by the Mataora Block, 15580 links; towards the South-east by Section No. 1 of Block XII. of the Ohinemuri Survey District, 1900 links; towards the South-west by the Ohinemuri No. 3 Block, 15320 links; and towards the North-west by the Ohinemuri No. 20 Block, 1950 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

OHINEMURI No. 8A.

All that parcel of land in the District of Ohinemuri, in the Provincial District of Auckland, known by the name of Ohinemuri No. 8A, containing by admeasurement 544 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the North by the Ohinemuri No. 4 Block, 13800 links; towards the East by the sea; towards the South by the Ohinemuri Nos. 9A, 12, and 13A Blocks, 10064 links; again towards the East by the Ohinemuri No. 13A Block aforesaid and the Ohinemuri No. 13 Block, 7600 links; again towards the South by the Ohinemuri No. 8 Block, 4250 links; and towards the West by the Ohinemuri No. 8 Block aforesaid, 6750 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

OHINEMURI No. 11A.

All that parcel of land in the District of Ohinemuri, in the Provincial District of Auckland, known by the name of Ohinemuri No. 11A, containing by admeasurement 27 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the North by the Owharoa No. 2 Block, 2000 links; and towards the East, South, and West by the Ohinemuri No. 11 Block, 1350, 2000, and 1350 links respectively.

OWHAROA No. 3A.

All that parcel of land in the District of Ohinemuri, in the Provincial District of Auckland, known by the name of Owharoa No. 3A, containing by admeasurement 73 acres 2 roods, more or less. Bounded towards the East by the Waitekauri Stream; towards the South and South-west by the Ohinemuri River; and towards the North-west by the Owharoa No. 3 Block, 3600 links, more or less.
