NOTICE is hereby given that the appointment of Mr.
John Stuart Reid as Attorney for the United In-
surance Company in New Zealand, under and for the pur-
poses of the above Act, has been revoked, and that the
following are the offices where the business of the said
company is intended to be carried on, and at which legal
proceedings may be served upon the company and all notices
or communications sent:–

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly
Societies has, pursuant to section 10 of "The Friendly
Societies Act, 1882," by writing under his hand dated this
15th day of June, 1886, cancelled the registry of the Glad-
stone Lodge, No. 115, of the United Ancient Order of Druids
Friendly Society, Register No. 187, held at Dunedin, on the
ground that the said society has ceased to exist.

HOSPITAL AND DOMAIN LANDS EXCHANGE,
AUCKLAND.

NOTICE is hereby given that application is intended
to be made, by petition, to the General Assembly, at
the present session thereof, for a Bill to confirm and carry
out an agreement, made on the day of , 18 ,
between the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland,
Trustee of the Hospital lands, and Francis Dart Fenton, on
behalf of the Domain Board, for the exchange of land in the
said agreement described. Copies of the said Bill will be
immediately deposited in the Private Bills Office.

In the matter of "The Industrial and Provident Societies
Act, 1877," and "The Companies Act, 1882," and in the
matter of the Maclean Pickle and Preserving Company
(Limited).

NOTICE is hereby given that, at a special general meet-
ing of the shareholders of the above-named company,
held on Tuesday, the 25th day of May, 1886, the resolutions
set out hereunder were passed; and that, at a special general
meeting of the shareholders of the said company, held on
Wednesday, the 9th day of June, 1886, the said resolutions
were duly confirmed:–

  1. "That the Maclean Pickle and Preserving Company
    (Limited) be wound up voluntarily, pursuant to 'The Joint-
    stock Companies Act, 1860,' and the Acts amending the
    same."
  2. "That two Liquidators be appointed for the purpose of
    winding up the affairs of the company and distributing the
    property thereof, and that their remuneration be fixed at 2½
    per cent.; and that one Supervisor be appointed without pay-
    ment."
  3. "That Mr. W. F. Warner be the Supervisor."
  4. "That Messrs. B. J. Leahy and H. Sawtell be the paid
    Liquidators."
    Dated at Christchurch, this 15th day of June, 1886.

NOTICE is hereby given that, at an extraordinary
general meeting of the Shareholders of the Hoki-
anga Saw-mill Company (Limited), held at Picton, on the
first day of June, 1886, the following special resolution was
passed: "That the Hokianga Saw-mill Company (Limited)
be forthwith wound up voluntarily; and that Messrs. John
Milne and J. H. Dalton be appointed Liquidators."

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore
subsisting between us, the undersigned, as Pawn-
brokers, has this day been dissolved by mutual consent.
Mr. E. J. Painter will continue to carry on the same busi-
ness, and will discharge all debts and liabilities due by the
late firm of Painter and Baker, and is also authorized to
receive all moneys due to such late firm.
