Pursuant to the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, passed in the forty-fourth year of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, and intituled “The Marriage Act, 1880,” the following names of Officiating Ministers within the meaning of the said Act are published for general information :—

Presbyterian Church of New Zealand.

Presbyterian Church of Otago and Southland.
The Reverend James Muir McKerrow, B.A.

Patent Office,
Wellington, 20th May, 1886.

Patent for an Invention for saving in Wire, Straining-post, and Labour, by the use of the Crab-motioned Wire-strainer and Wire-stopper.”

Carl August Bergerson, of Palmerston North, Gunsmith, and Jens Jensen, of Feilding, General Blacksmith, both in the County of Manawatu, New Zealand, have deposited at this office a specification of the said invention; and I have appointed Thursday, the 5th day of August next, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon, at this office, to hear the said application and all objections thereto; and I require all persons having an interest in opposing the grant of such Letters Patent to leave, on or before the 21st day of July next, at this office, particulars in writing of their objections to the said application, otherwise they will be precluded from urging the same.
