I HEREBY summon a General Meeting of Shareholders of the above-named company, to be helden in the old offices of the company on Monday, the 19th day of July, 1886, at three o’clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of submitting my report, together with the accounts, showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted, and an account of the disposition of the property; and also of determining, by extraordinary resolution, the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidators thereof shall be disposed of.

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND, NELSON DISTRICT.
In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and in the matter of the Champion Copper-mining Company of New Zealand (Limited).
Monday, the third day of May, 1886.
UPON the petition of the above-named company on the third day of May, 1886, preferred unto this Court, and upon hearing Mr. Pitt, of counsel for the petitioner, the above-named company, and upon reading the said petition and the affidavit of Arthur D’Oyly Bayfeild, filed the third day of May, 1886, verifying the said petition, this Court doth order that the Champion Copper-mining Company of New Zealand (Limited) above mentioned be wound up by this Court under the provisions of “The Companies Act, 1882.” And it is further ordered that this order be advertised as soon as practicable in the New Zealand Gazette, and also be forthwith advertised once in the Evening Mail and the Colonist newspapers, published in the City of Nelson. And it is further ordered that the winding-up of the said company be proceeded with on Monday, the thirty-first day of May, 1886, at the hour of half-past ten of the clock in the forenoon, before the Registrar of this Court at Nelson, at his chambers. And it is further ordered that Arthur D’Oyly Bayfeild, of the said City of Nelson, Commission Agent, be and he is hereby appointed Provisional Liquidator of the said company, and that his powers as such Provisional Liquidator be restricted as follows:—
- To taking possession of getting-in and protecting the assets of the company;
- To act in all cases of emergency, and generally to do all acts which may be necessary for the above purposes.

COUNTY OF WAITEMATA.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A ROAD.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed by the Waitemata County Council, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” to execute a certain work, to wit, the construction of a road in the Parish of Waipareira, County of Waitemata, and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is further given that copy of a plan of the said road and of the lands so required to be taken is deposited at the Post Office, Waitakerei, in the Provincial District of Auckland, and is there open for inspection. And notice is hereby given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands shall, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Clerk of the Waitemata County Council, Palmerston Buildings, Auckland.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement one rood thirty-four perches, more or less, situated in the Provincial District of Auckland aforesaid, and being part of Allotment number sixteen of the Parish of Waipareira. Bounded (commencing at a point distant two hundred and sixty-six links and three-tenths of a link from the angle in the road on its northern side formed by the junction of the main road and the road conveyed by deed of dedication registered in the Deeds Registration Office at Auckland aforesaid under number 4492) towards the North-east by other part of said Allotment sixteen, bearing three hundred and twenty-four degrees twenty-two minutes, six hundred and eight links and nine-tenths of a link; towards the West by a road bearing three hundred and fifty-seven degrees ten minutes, two hundred and ninety links; and towards the South-west by the said road bearing three hundred degrees forty-four minutes, three hundred and eighty-eight links.

In the matter of the Ashburton Cheese and Butter Factory Company (Limited), a joint-stock company duly incorporated under “The Joint-Stock Companies Act, 1860.”
NOTICE is hereby given that, at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company, duly convened and held at the Arcade Chambers, Burnett Street, Ashburton, on the 21st day of April ultimo, the following special resolution was duly passed, and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the said company, also duly convened and held at the same place on the 8th day of May instant, the said resolution was duly confirmed, viz.:—
“That the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of ‘The Companies Act, 1882.’”
And at such last-mentioned meeting Mr. JOSHUA TUCKER, of Ashburton, was appointed Liquidator for the purposes of winding-up.
