lations thereunder for the election of Governors by the Board
of Education for the District of Auckland, I hereby notify
that, at a meeting of the said Board, held this day,

THEOPHILUS COOPER, Esq.,

were duly elected Governors of the Board of Governors con-
stitted by the said Act, to fill the vacancies caused by the
retirement of James McCosh Clark, Esq., and by the resigna-
tion of Professor Tucker.

Goldfields Notice.

Gold-mining Lease to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of “The
Mines Act, 1877,” and with the regulations made under
that Act for the granting of leases for gold-mining purposes,
it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease of
Crown lands for gold-mining purposes to the applicants
specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid
objections against such lease.
