Mineral Lease to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of “The Mines Act, 1877,” and with the regulations made under that Act for the granting of mineral leases, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for mining for scheelite to the applicant specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease as applied for, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Commissioner of Crown Lands at Dunedin on or before the 27th day of April, 1886.

Copy of the application made and plan annexed may be seen at the Crown Lands Office at Dunedin.

SCHEDULE.

APPLICANT: James Davidson. Style under which it is intended to conduct the business: James Davidson. 100 acres, at Glenorchy, in the Wakatipu Mining District. Term applied for: Thirty years. Mineral: Scheelite.

Application for Rehearing of Claim dismissed.

NATIVE LAND COURT, NEW ZEALAND:
DISTRICT OF AUCKLAND.

IN the matter of judgments of the Court given during a session opened at Tauranga, in the said district, on the 18th day of August, 1885, upon the hearing of claims to succeed to the interest of Enoka te Whanake in lands situate in the said district, and known as “Hikutawatawa,” “Karamuramu,” and “Waikareao Lot 110, Parish of Te Papa.”

And in the matter of the application of Meri Raiha Pakihana and another for a rehearing upon those claims:

I, John Edwin Macdonald, Chief Judge of the said Court, and in exercise of the authority in that behalf vested in me, do hereby dismiss such application.

IN the matter of a decision of the Court given at Hastings, in the said district, on the 11th day of March, 1884, upon the hearing of a claim to succeed to the interest of Ihaka Kapo in a parcel of land known as “Kakewahine No. 2;” and in the matter of an application for a rehearing upon the aforesaid claim, made to this Court in writing by Piripi Maki within three months of such decision:

I, John Edwin Macdonald, Chief Judge of the said Court, and in exercise of the authority in that behalf vested in me, do hereby order that a rehearing upon such claim be had on Monday, the 19th day of April, 1886, at a sitting of the Court to be then held at Waipawa, Hawke’s Bay.
