Perpetual Leasing under "The Land Act, 1885."

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in him by the one hundred and thirty-fifth
section of "The Land Act, 1885," and of every other power
and authority enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby declare that the sections of land enu-
merated in the Schedule hereto shall be set apart for lease,
with right of renewal, under the provisions of Part IV. of
"The Land Act, 1885."

SCHEDULE.

KILLEAN'S ISLAND, ARNOLD RIVER.

140 acres, more or less, being island in River Arnold, op-
posite Coal Reserve No. 274; subject to necessary reserves.

TEREMAKAU RIVER.

40 acres, more or less, situated in Block I., Turiwhatu
Survey District, being island in Teremakau River, opposite
Sections Nos. 1125 and 1061, and being Section No. 618, said
survey district.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General
in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the

Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable

1883."

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
is vested in certain aboriginal natives of New Zea-
land, subject to certain restrictions on the alienation of such
land, and application has been made for the removal of
such restrictions:
It is hereby notified that it is the intention of His Excel-
lency the Governor, immediately after the expiration of sixty
days from the publication of this notice in the Gazette and
in the Kahiti, to remove the said restrictions on the aliena-
tion of the said land.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General
in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Companion of the Most Honourable

the Provincial District of Auckland, known by the name of
Okoheriki No. 2b, containing by admeasurement 4,766 acres,
more or less. Bounded towards the North generally by a
railway-line known as Okoheriki No. 2E Block; towards the
East by a road-line, 750 links; towards the South-east by
Okoheriki No. 1 Block, 53479 links; towards the West by
Okoheriki No. 2B Block, 13200 links: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less.
