Revoking the Setting-apart of Land in the Taranaki Land
District for Leasing under “The Land Act 1877 Amend-
ment Act, 1882.”

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in him by the sixth section of “The Land Act,
1885,” and of every other power and authority enabling
him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby
revoke the Proclamation dated the seventeenth day of No-
vember, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, in so
far as it relates to the section of land enumerated in the
Schedule hereto, which was, with other lands, set apart for
leasing under the provisions of sections three to forty-eight
of “The Land Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1882.”

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir William
Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General
in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of
the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael
and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honour-
able Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at the Government House, at Wel-
ington, this twenty-fourth day of February, in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-six.

Land set apart on Deferred Payments in Taranaki.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the one hundred and fourth section of
“The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the
Governor, by Proclamation in the Gazette, may from time
to time set apart out of any suburban or rural lands such
blocks or allotments of land as he shall think fit, and set
the same aside for sale on deferred payments, and in such
Proclamation may fix a day on which the land shall be open
for application; and that he may also in like manner set
apart for sale on deferred payments such blocks or allot-
ments as may be recommended by any Land Board, and
may also from time to time alter, amend, or revoke any
such Proclamation:
And whereas the Land Board of Taranaki has passed a
resolution recommending that the land described in the
Schedule hereto annexed should be set apart for sale on
deferred payments:
And whereas it is expedient to give effect to the aforesaid
recommendation, and to set apart the said land accordingly:
Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance
and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the
above-named Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
land described in the Schedule hereto is set apart for sale on
deferred payments; and that Wednesday, the fourteenth day
of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six,
shall be the day on which the said land shall be open
for application, in allotments as surveyed and marked on
the selection map in the principal land office of the district.
And, further, in pursuance of the one hundred and tenth
section of “The Land Act, 1885,” I do hereby fix the price
at which the land so described shall be sold to be the price
stated in the Schedule hereto.
