Gold-mining Leases to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of “The
Mines Act, 1877,” and with the regulations made under
that Act for the granting of leases for gold-mining purposes,
it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant leases of
Crown lands for gold-mining purposes to the applicants
specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid
objections against such leases.

Objections to the granting of such leases, stating the
grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged
with the Warden at Waikaka on or before the 15th day of
March, 1886.

Copy of the applications made and plans annexed may be
seen at the Warden’s Office at Waikaka.


SCHEDULE.

APPLICANT: C. Malfroy. Style under which it is intended
to conduct the business: The Hopeful Company. 10 acres,
at Nokomai, in the Switzer’s Mining District.

Applicants: A. McCallum and others. Style under which
it is intended to conduct the business: The Success Com-
pany. 10 acres, at Nokomai, in the Switzer’s Mining Dis-
trict.

Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this eighteenth day
of February, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-six.

Homestead Lands open for Selection.

Crown Lands Office,
Auckland, 28th January, 1886.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in the
Auckland Land Board by “The Land Act, 1885,” it
is hereby notified that the second-class rural lands men-
tioned in the Schedule hereunder will be open for selection,
under the homestead system, on Tuesday, the 9th March
next.
