Application for Registration of a Trade Mark.

NOTICE is hereby given that F. DE C. MALET, Solicitor,
of Christchurch, in the Colony of New Zealand, has
applied, on behalf of the Sanitas Company, Limited,
of No. 2, Letchford's Buildings, Three-colt Lane, Bethnal
Green, London, to register, under "The Trade Marks Act,
1866," the trade mark of which the following is a description,
viz:-
Description of Trade Mark.
The word "Sanitas."
Nature of the Articles to which it is intended such Trade
Mark shall apply.
Disinfectants, antiseptics, deodorants, medicated soaps,
cleaning purifying and sanitary preparations, and sanitary
appliances and apparatus, and all goods manufactured by
the Sanitas Company, Limited.

Notice to Imprestees under "The Public Revenues Act, 1878."
The Treasury,
Wellington, 16th February, 1886.
EVERY officer holding advances of public money is
hereby required to pay to the Public Account, at the
nearest branch of the Bank of New Zealand, the total
unexpended balance in his hands on or before Wednesday,
the 31st March proximo, and forthwith to transmit to the
Treasury at Wellington the bank receipt for such repayment, together with an account of his expenditure to the
same date, as required by clause 4 of the Treasury Regulations.
As repects disbursements which officers may require to
make during the week following the close of the financial
year, requisitions for the amount required are to be made in
such time as to enable them to reach Wellington not later
than the 24th March, so that the requisite funds may be
placed at the disposal of the officer on the 1st April.

Alterations in the Scale of Fares and Charges in force on
the New Zealand Railways.
IN accordance with section 144 of "The Public Works
Act, 1882," I, Edward Richardson, the Minister for
Public Works, do hereby make the following alterations in
the scale of charges for the purpose specified below, such
alteration to come into force from and after the 1st day of
March, 1886.

PART IV.-LOCAL RATES.
AUCKLAND SECTION.
The through rates for goods of Classes A, B, C, and D
carried by rail and steamer between Auckland and ports on
the Kaipara are hereby cancelled.

Notice under "The Native Land Laws Amendment Act,
1883."
WHEREAS the estate and interest of Ruta te Wano,
aboriginal native of New Zealand, in the land described in the Schedule hereto, is vested in Enoka te Wano,
as Trustee under the provisions of "The Maori Real Estate
Management Act, 1867," and the several amendments
thereof, subject to certain restrictions on the alienation of
such land, and application has been made for the removal
of such restrictions:
It is hereby notified that it is intended, immediately after
the expiration of sixty days from the publication of this
notice in the Gazette and in the Kahiti, to remove the said
restrictions on the alienation of the said land in respect of
the interests aforesaid, in order that the said land may be
leased by the said Trustee.
Dated at Wellington, this fourteenth day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-five.

All that parcel of land situate at Otaki, in the Provincial

4F, 2900 links; and towards the South-west by Pukehou No.
4D, 2584 links, 1220 links, and 2375 links.
