Gold Fields Notices.

Special Claim cancelled.

IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to pronounce the under-mentioned special claim lease cancelled, and that the ground is now open for application as if no lease of the said ground had ever been applied for:—
George Anderson Paterson; 60 acres, Ross, No. T. 775, Westland District.

Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of “The Mines Act, 1877,” and with the regulations made under that Act for the granting of leases for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant leases of Crown lands for gold-mining purposes to the applicants specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against such leases.

Objections to the granting of such leases, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Warden at Lyell, on or before the 18th day of December, 1885.

Copy of the applications made and plans annexed may be seen at the Warden’s Office at Lyell.


SCHEDULE.

APPLICANTS: Edward Carton and Peter G. Armstrong. Style under which it is intended to conduct the business: “The Lumsden Gold-Mining Company.” 16 acres 2 roods, at Eight Mile, Lyell, in the Nelson South-West Mining District.

Applicant: Alphonse Jecklin. Style under which it is intended to conduct the business: “The General Komaroff Quartz-Mining Company.” 16 acres 2 roods, at Eight Mile, Lyell, in the Nelson South-West Mining District.

Land Sale, Patea District.

THE under-mentioned rural section in the Patea District will be sold by public auction, for cash, at the Land Office, Patea, on Tuesday, the 17th November next, at 10.30 a.m.:—

Carlyle Survey District: Section 1, Block III., 184 acres 2 roods, at £2 per acre, with £221 14s. added for improvements. This section is about three miles from Kakaramea, and adjoins the Otoia Native Reserve.

Terms of Sale: One-fourth of purchase-money to be paid at sale, and the balance to the Receiver of Land Revenue at Patea within one calendar month from date of sale, otherwise the deposit will be forfeited, and the contract for the sale of the land thenceforth be null and void. Crown-grant fee to be paid on completion of purchase.
