All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, in the Colony of New Zealand, containing by ad-
measurement 5 acres 2 roods 35 perches, more or less,
situate in the Poverty Bay Road District, in the Cook
County, and being a road-line, 100 links wide, traversing a
portion of the Pouparae Block; commencing at a point on
the north-western boundary of the Pouparae Block at a
distance of 1777 links or thereabouts from the north-eastern
boundary of the Kahanui Block. Bounded towards the
North-east by lines, 5433·3 links and 275·1 links respectively ;
towards the South-east by a line, 104 links ; towards the
South-west by lines, 300·9 links and 5424·4 links respectively ;
and towards the North-east by a line, 100·4 links, to the
commencing point: be all the aforesaid linkages more or
less ; as the same is delineated on Plan No. 3344, deposited
in the Survey Office at Auckland.

County, and being a road, 100 links wide, traversing a portion
of the Matawhero No. 6 Block; commencing at a point on the
north-western boundary of the Matawhero No. 6 Block at a
distance of 4246 links from its north-eastern boundary.
Bounded towards the North-east generally by lines, 4355·1
links and 5954·6 links respectively ; towards the South-east
by a line, 100·1 links ; towards the South-west by lines,
6023·5 links and 4348·9 links respectively ; and towards the
North-west by a line, 104 links, to the commencing point:
be all the aforesaid linkages more or less ; as the same is
delineated on Plan No. 3344, deposited in the Survey Office
at Auckland.
The works proposed are forming and metalling to a width
of 30 feet, cutting drains, and erecting culverts to carry off
surface-water.
Any objections to the above must be lodged at the office
of the Board before the 10th October, 1885.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following resolutions
were carried unanimously at an extraordinary general
meeting of the shareholders of the Southland Tramway
Company (Limited), held in Sloan's Theatre, Dee Street,
Invercargill, on Thursday, the 14th September, 1885, and
were confirmed at an extraordinary general meeting of
shareholders, held in the same place, on Thursday, the 1st
October, 1885:—
"That, as the shareholders of the company have not re-
sponded to the resolution passed at the annual general
meeting for an increase of capital, and as it is clearly shown
by the balance-sheet issued that the company cannot carry
on by reason of its liabilities, the company be wound up
voluntarily."
"That Messrs. D. L. Matheson, J. E. Hannah, and William
Sloan be appointed Liquidators for the purpose of winding up
the company."
