the south-western corner of the Vernon Run); thence by a
right line to the south-western corner of Section No. 29,
Wakefield Downs; thence by the eastern side of the road
between Sections Nos. 33 and 29, Wakefield Downs, and
Sections Nos. 4 and 2 of Block I., District of Awatere, to the
Utawai Stream; thence by the Utawai Stream to the
northern boundary of Section No. 2 of Block I., District of
Awatere; thence along that boundary to Maxwell Pass
Stream; thence by the Maxwell Pass Stream to the water-
shed; thence by a tributary of the Taylor River to the
Taylor River at the base of a hill called the "Maori;" thence
by the northern boundaries of the Dungree and Blairich
Runs to the summit of the dividing range between the
Awatere and Wairau Valleys to Langridge Run No. 2; thence
by the western boundary of that run to the summit of the
range; thence by the said summit to Saxon's Pass; thence
by the stream running out of Saxon's Pass to the Acheron
River; thence by that river to the junction of the Saxon;
thence by the Saxon for a distance of 210 chains; thence by
a line due east and west to intersect a right line drawn from
Tophouse to Barefell Pass; thence by part of said line to
Barefell Pass; thence by the Guide River to its confluence
with the Acheron River; thence by that river to its confluence
with the Clarence River; thence towards the South by a
right line to a point on the Clarence River where a right line
drawn from the junction of the Acheron and Clarence Rivers
to the source of the River Conway intersects it; thence
towards the South-east by the Kaikoura Subdivision, herein-
after described, to the mouth of the Kekerangu River, the
starting point.

The Kaikoura Subdivision.

Bounded towards the East by the sea from the mouth of
the River Conway to the mouth of the River Kekerangu;
thence North by the River Kekerangu to the junction of
Benmore Stream; thence by that stream to its source;
thence by a tributary of the River Ure to the southern
boundary of the Chalk Range Run; thence by the southern
boundary of the Chalk Range Run to the Upton Fells Run;
thence by the southern boundary of Upton Fells Run to
Upton Fells Run No. 2; thence by the south-eastern and
south-western boundaries of Upton Fells Run No. 2 to Section
No. 11 on the Upton Fells Run; thence by that section to
the eastern boundary of the Camden Run No. 2; thence by
that boundary and the southern boundaries of Camden Run
No. 2 to the summit of the dividing range between the
Awatere and Clarence Valleys; thence on the West by a line
along the said summit to Lake McRae Run; thence by the
eastern boundaries of that run to a point where a right line
drawn from the junction of the Acheron and Clarence Rivers
to the source of the Conway River intersects it; thence by a
right line to the source of the River Conway; and thence by
the right bank of that river to its mouth, the starting point.

Amuri Sheep District.

All that area in the Provincial District of Nelson bounded
as follows: Commencing at a point where a right line from
Top House to Barefell Pass intersects the Wairau River;
thence by said line to Barefell Pass; thence by the Guide
and Acheron Rivers to the confluence of the Acheron with
the Clarence River; thence by a right line to the source of
the Conway River and by that river to the sea; thence by
the sea to the mouth of the Waiau or Dillon; thence by
that river and the Henry River to its source at Travers Peak;
thence by the summit of the Spencer Mountains and St.
Arnaud Range to a point in line with the northern boundary
of Section No. 6, Wisenhavern Run; thence to and by said
Section and the Wairau River to the starting point.

Francis Drummond Jervois, Lieutenant-General
in Her Majesty's Army, Knight Grand Cross of
the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael
and Saint George, Companion of the Most Honour-
able Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same; and issued under the Seal of the
said Colony, at the Government House, at Welling-
ton, this eighteenth day of August, in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
five.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto
have been purchased out of the sums authorized
under "The Immigration and Public Works Act, 1870," and
Acts amending the same, to be issued and expended in the

purchase of lands in the North Island of New Zealand, and
it is expedient that the said lands should be declared to be
waste lands of the Crown:

Now, therefore, I, William Francis Drummond Jervois,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, being satisfied
that the lands described in the Schedule hereto are free from
Native claims and all difficulties in connection therewith, in
pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in
me by the seventeenth section of "The Waste Lands Ad-
ministration Act, 1876," and the twenty-eighth section of
"The Land Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1879," and all other
authorities enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim
and declare the said lands to be waste lands of the Crown,
subject, except as in the first-mentioned Act provided, to be
sold and dealt with according to the provisions of the laws
regulating the sale and disposal of waste lands of the Crown
in force in the land districts in which they are respectively
situated.

SCHEDULE.

MOEHAU NO. 3G, NO. 1.

All that parcel of land in the District of Coromandel, in the
Provincial District of Auckland, known by the name of
Moehau No. 3G, No. 1, containing by admeasurement 140
acres, more or less. Bounded towards the North-east by the
Moehau No. 3G Block, 3750 links; towards the South-east by
Te Pahi Stream; towards the South-west by Te Uwhi Block,
200 and 3338 links; and towards the North-west by Te Uwhi
Block aforesaid, 4131 links: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less.

OTAUTU NOS. 1 AND 2.

All that parcel of land in the District of Coromandel, in
the Provincial District of Auckland, being the northern por-
tion of Otautu Nos. 1 and 2 Blocks, containing by admeasure-
ment 171 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the North-
east and East by the Ahirau No. 2 Block, 607, 488, 576, 389,
1005, 375, 389, 432, 322, 863, 379, 784, 379, 184, 131, 621, and
125 links; towards the South by a portion of the Otautu Nos.
1 and 2 Blocks aforesaid, 5990 links; towards the West and
North-west by the Moehau No. 1G Block, 486, 690, and 5650
links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

TE IPU-O-MOEHAU NO. 2.

All that parcel of land in the District of Thames, in the
Provincial District of Auckland, known by the name of Te
Ipu-o-Moehau No. 2, containing by admeasurement 605 acres,
more or less. Bounded towards the North by the Te Ipu-o-
Moehau No. 1 Block, 8700 links; towards the South-east by
the Tararu Stream; towards the South by the Te Puke
Block, 255 links; towards the East by the aforesaid Te
Puke Block, 145, 230, and 85 links respectively; again
towards the South-east by the aforesaid Tararu Stream to
the easternmost corner of the Onepu Block; towards the
South-west by the aforesaid Onepu Block, 374 links; towards
the West by the Te Horo Block, 158 links; again towards
the South-west and South by the aforesaid Te Horo Block,
96 and 877 links respectively; again towards the West by
the Kauaeranga E7 Block, 76 links; towards the North-
west generally by lines, the Waihoanga Nos. 3, 1, and 2
and Karioi No. 3 Blocks, 725, 526, 381, 667, 360, 160, 224, 199,
207, 248, 205, 532, 195, 301, 346, 205, 271, 182, 293, 189, 167,
125, 81, 228, 154, 141, 112, 194, 222, 200, 223, 137, 156, 204,
94, 104, 146, 105, 94, 193, 165, 104, 197, 352, 187, 345, 137,
168, 169, 141, 282, 206, 166, 442, 332, 131, 141, 67, 115, 68,
443, 143, 178, 219, 298, 471, and 41 links respectively to the
place of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more
or less.

TE KAPUA NO. 1.

All that parcel of land in the District of Thames, in the
Provincial District of Auckland, known by the name of
Te Kapua No. 1, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 2
roods 28 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the North-
east by Te Kapua No. 2 Block, 570 links; towards the
South-east by the Karaka Creek and by a line, 411 links;
towards the South-west by lines, 272ยท5, 356, 226, and 98
links; and towards the North-west by the Rangitoto Block
159 links, and by Te Kapua Block 76 and 835 links: be all
the aforesaid linkages more or less.

TE TAUTITI NO. 2.

All that parcel of land in the District of Thames, in the
Provincial District of Auckland, being the southern portion
of Te Tautiti No. 2 Block, containing by admeasurement 300
acres, more or less. Bounded towards the North by the
northern portion of the said block, 4300 links; towards the
East by Te Tautiti No. 1 Block, 9380 links; towards the
South-west and North-west by lines, 10490 and 2750 links:
be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

OROUAING.

All that parcel of land in the District of Tauranga, in the
Provincial District of Auckland, known by the name of Orou-
