PARTNERSHIP NOTICE.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership lately subsisting between us, the undersigned, ROBERT ERSKINE and EDWARD HENRY WHITMORE, of Invercargill, Booksellers and Stationers, carrying on business at Invercargill under the style or firm of “Erskine and Whitmore,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 30th day of June, 1885. All debts due to, or owing by, the said late firm will be received and paid by the said Robert Erskine, who will continue the said business under the style or firm of “Erskine and Co.”

As witness our hands this 22nd day of July, 1885.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us, the undersigned, in the business of Grocers and General Dealers, under the style or firm of “Taylor and Entrican,” carried on by us in Wellesley Street in Auckland, has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 30th day of June, 1885, and the business will henceforth be carried on by the said Samuel Taylor alone, who will discharge all debts and receive all moneys due to the late firm.

“THE FOREIGN COMPANIES ACT, 1884.”

IN compliance with the provisions of “The Foreign Companies Act, 1884,” notice is hereby given that the Victoria Insurance Company (Limited), having its head office in Melbourne, now carrying on business in the Colony of New Zealand and elsewhere, has its head office for the said colony in Princes Street, Dunedin, in the Provincial District of Otago, where legal proceedings may be served upon it and to which notices may be addressed or given.

THE UNITED INSURANCE COMPANY.

In the matter of “The Foreign Companies Act, 1884,” and of the United Insurance Company.

NOTICE is hereby given, under the provisions of “The Foreign Companies Act, 1884,” that the United Insurance Company, being a company incorporated by special Act within the Colony of New South Wales, intend to carry on the business of Insurers of Fire and Marine Risks within the Colony of New Zealand; and that the offices where such business is intended to be carried on, and where all notices may be sent, communications made, and legal proceedings served, are situated in Featherston Street, in the City of Wellington.

AT a meeting of the Mount Albert Road Board, held on the 2nd July, 1885, it was resolved, That, from this date, the office of the Mount Albert Road Board be removed from the Mount Albert Public Hall to the Christians’ Meeting-house, Kingsland, New North Road. Office hours from 6 to 8 o’clock p.m., every Wednesday evening. The Board will meet on the first and third Thursday in each month, at 7.30 p.m. Notice of change to be inserted in the Government Gazette, Wellington.

A RETURN

GIVING the Names, Addresses, and Occupations of Owners of Land within the Colony, together with the Area and Value in Counties, and the Value in Boroughs and Town Districts, compiled from the Assessment Rolls of the Property-Tax Department as at the 1st October, 1882.

The names of Freeholders are printed in alphabetical order; and all land owned by them, in whatever part of the colony, appears opposite their respective names, thus enabling the total capital value of each person’s freehold property to be seen at a glance.

The book also contains a Return of the Lands held by Banks, Insurance Companies, and Companies registered as Corporations with Limited Liability.

As a Directory the book will be found of great value, as it contains the most complete and reliable information, and includes the names of over 71,000 colonists.

The book can be obtained at the Government Stationery Store, Wellington.

SUBSCRIPTIONS.—The subscription is at the rate of £2 per annum, PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. A less period than three months cannot be subscribed for.

Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.

Advertisements are charged at the uniform rate of 6d. per line for each insertion.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

Booksellers and Advertising Agents will be allowed a commission at the rate of 5 per cent.

NO ADVERTISEMENT WILL BE INSERTED WITHOUT PREPAYMENT BEING MADE.
