Gold-Mining Lease cancelled.

Wellington, 2nd July, 1885.

T is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to pronounce the under-mentioned gold-mining lease cancelled, and that the ground is now open for application as if no lease of the said ground had ever been applied for:-

Thomas Hughes and party; No. 704c, Section 41, Block I., 5 acres 3 roods 29 perches, St. Bathan's District, Otago Mining District.

Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of "The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regulations made under that Act for the granting of leases for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for gold-mining purposes to the applicants specified in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections against such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating the grounds of objection, must be made in writing, and lodged with the Warden at Westport on or before the 27th day of July, 1885.

Copy of the application made and plan annexed may be seen at the Warden's Office at Westport.
