I, JOHN AITKEN CONNELL, of Dunedin, in the Provincial District of Otago and Colony of New Zealand, Managing Director of the Perpetual Trustees, Estate, and Agency Company of New Zealand (Limited), do solemnly and sincerely declare—
- That the liability of the members is limited.
- That the capital of the company is £125,000, divided into 25,000 shares of £5 each.
- That the number of shares issued is 21,269.
- That calls to the amount of £1 2s. 6d. per share have been made, under which the sum of £23,927 12s. 6d. has been received.
- That the amount of all moneys received on account of estates under administration by the company is £34 5s. 8d.
- That the amount of all moneys paid on account of estates under administration is £14 5s. 9d.
- That the amount of the balance held to the credit of estates under administration is £19 19s. 11d.
- That the following is the audited balance-sheet, showing the assets and liabilities of the company on the 30th day of April, 1885:—

We have examined the books, vouchers, accounts, and securities of the Perpetual Trustees, Estate, and Agency Company of New Zealand (Limited), and certify that in our opinion the above is a full and fair balance-sheet, containing the particulars required by the regulations of the company, and is properly drawn up so as to exhibit a true and correct view of the company’s affairs. Each constituent of the company has been furnished during the year with a duly-audited statement of the particulars of all his securities, which in every case have been found in order and satisfactory. All clients’ securities at date of balance have been re-examined and found correct.

NOTICE is hereby given that, at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the Island Bay Park Company (Limited), held on the 15th day of May, 1885, the following special resolutions were passed:—
(1.) That the Island Bay Park Company (Limited) be wound up voluntarily.
(2.) That a general authority be and is hereby conferred upon the Liquidators of the Island Bay Park Company (Limited) to transfer or sell the whole or any portion of the business or property to any other company formed or hereafter to be formed, and to receive, in compensation or part compensation for such transfer or sale, shares, policies, or other like interests in such other company, for the purpose of distribution among the members of the Island Bay Park Company (Limited); or to enter into any other arrangement whereby the members of the Island Bay Park Company (Limited) may, in lieu of receiving cash shares, policies, or any other like interests, or in addition thereto, participate in the profits of, or receive any other benefit from, the purchasing company.
(3.) That Alfred Kingcombe Newman, George Samuel Graham, and Henry Kember be and are hereby appointed Liquidators of the Island Bay Park Company (Limited).
And notice is hereby further given that, at a meeting duly convened and held on the 3rd day of June, 1885, the said resolutions were confirmed.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of this Council to request the Governor to gazette as a public road an extension of Grey Street, as referred to in an advertisement dated 20th January, 1882, published in the Poverty Bay Herald, and delineated on a plan marked P.W.D. 3644, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, Wellington. Copy of plan is at this office for inspection. Any objection to the same must be sent in to this office within forty days.
