Description of Land: About three-fourths of this section is covered with bush containing puriri and rata. The land is mostly broken and the soil poor on the ranges. Description of Land: South-western portion Lot 59, undulating agricultural land, nearly all mixed bush, well watered and accessible by road; 150, open undulating land; 154, 155, 156, flat scoria land, covered with fern. By sinking wells a permanent supply of water can be obtained within 10 feet; 157 to 163 inclusive, flat scoria land covered with fern, abutting on to Waiharakeke and Otiria Streams, accessible by a branch road from the Great North Road; 164, undulating pastoral land, clay soil, fern, frontage to Great North Road; 166 to 170 inclusive, broken pastoral lands, half fern, half bush, except Lot 167, which is nearly all fern, soil medium, well watered and accessible by Great North Road and branch road from it.

Description of Land: Section 31, 10 acres flat land; 32, 20 acres flat land; 33, 14 acres flat land; 34, 20 acres flat land; remainder of sections very broken. All the above sections are covered with heavy mixed bush, well watered, soil of fair quality, and are accessible by a newly-formed bridle-track which passes through Section 34, and connects with the Hokianga Harbour, opposite Herd’s Point Township, about thirteen miles distant.

Description of Land: Lot 14, all forest, very broken, about 400 acres first-class kauri, which may be got out by Owana Stream; 15, all forest, very broken, about 80 acres scattered kauri; 16, all forest or scrub tea-tree, about 30 acres tea-tree suitable for firewood, very broken; 17, all scrub, with tall manuka in the gullies, land very poor and broken.

Terms of Sale: One-fourth of purchase-money to be paid at time of sale, and the balance within one month thereafter, otherwise the part of the purchase-money paid by way of deposit shall be forfeited, and the contract for the sale of the land shall thenceforward be null and void. Crown-grant fee to be paid on completion of purchase.

Maps of the above lands may be seen, and further particulars obtained, on application at this office.

Schedules containing descriptions, &c., of the above lands will be exhibited at Railway Stations and Post Offices.

Rural Lands open for Application on Deferred Payments, Patea and Hawera.

THE under-mentioned rural lands will be open for application, on deferred payments, at the Land Offices, Patea and Hawera, on Wednesday, the 1st July, 1885.

Residence not compulsory.

In the event of more than one application being received for any one section, the right to occupy the same will be decided by public auction at Patea, on Saturday, the 4th July, at 11 o’clock a.m.
