HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to form the Naval Artillery Volunteers into a corps, under the title of
The New Zealand Naval Artillery Volunteers,
and to make the under-mentioned appointments:—
Rear-Admiral Robert Anthony Edward Scott, R.N., to be Honorary Commodore.
Lieutenant Arthur Percy Douglas, R.N., to be Vice-Commodore.
Captain Emelius le Roy to be Captain Commandant of the Auckland Division, comprising the Auckland, Thames, Devonport, Ponsonby, Onehunga, and Naval Coast Guards Corps.
Captain William Goldie to be Captain Commandant of the Otago Division, comprising the Port Chalmers, Dunedin, Bluff, Oamaru, and Peninsula (Dunedin) Corps.
Captain Charles John Johnston to be Captain Commandant of the Wellington Division, comprising the Wellington, Petone, and Napier Corps.
Captain Hugh McLellan to be Captain Commandant of the Canterbury Division, comprising the Lyttelton and Timaru Corps.
Captain Charles Yates Fell to be Captain Commandant of the Nelson Division, comprising the Wanganui, Nelson, and Greymouth Corps.

NOTICE.—CHARLES EDWARD GATES, a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria, has been appointed, this day, by his Honour Mr. Justice Williams, a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in the Colony of Victoria, under “The Commissioners of the Supreme Court Act, 1875,” for the purpose of taking affidavits, as in the said Act mentioned.

Hawkers and pedlars travelling, using horse or horse and cart, £6 per annum.
I hereby certify that the above special order has been duly made in accordance with law.
